Guess that dunk on LeBron raised his overall by another 3-4 points.

Jesus really?

87

"For the sake of comparison, players like Blake Griffin, Paul Millsap, Kyle Lowry, Mike Conley and Bradley Beal began the 2017-18 NBA season with an identical rating"

Those guys listed aren’t in the same universe as Tatum. Them being rated the same is a joke. Wait for the Simmons rating which is probably 93

It appears that way. The alternatives -- he kidnapped a newborn from a nursery at a Boston hospital or he's holding a doll calling it his princess -- are NOT good.

Maybe it's Horford's Newborn?

I don't see anything about Baynes' wife being pregnant.

That would be weird too, cos he's acknowledging/liking all the well wishes on the comments section lol.

Well, this team is definitely Family oriented.
Hayward's wife is pregnant with their 3rd child.

Yep, Tatum, Horford, Hayward, and Baynes will all have a kid during the 2017-2019 seasons. Those are the only ones we know about lol.

IT, no longer a Celtic, will also have their 3rd child. Even took a playful shot at Hayward since they're also having a girl.

Kyrie has a Daughter = Azurie Elizabeth Irving

Rozier has a Son = Justin

https://streamable.com/ceweg

Read on Twitter

He has a 2-year-old son of his own, Justin (he was 2 in 2015), and during the season the boy will mostly be back in Ohio with his mother — a former high school classmate — and Gina and Amanda Tucker. Justin is energetic and rambunctious, just like Rozier was at that age.
Rozier Sr. has not met his grandson, but he hopes to have a relationship with him. He regrets that he set such a poor example as a father.
But the younger Rozier said he learned from those mistakes, those distances. He learned what he wants from a father-son relationship, and he hopes this is the start of one special bond and, eventually, the renewal of another.
“Just being able to be around your kid, I don’t think anything can beat that,” Rozier said. “It’s not too late.”

For what its worth. Jimmy Stewart just mentioned Celtics offered Kyrie and a pick for Kwahi... not sure if this means Kyrie is gone or what. But he seems pretty plugged into the Celtics so we'll see if anything changes. I just don't see the allure of the James Dolan Knicks or the Zombie NJ Nets.

If we offered Kyrie and a pick for Kawhi, we'd have Kawhi. No way the Spurs turn that down in favor of Defrozen

Does anyone expect Horford to work with the team next year to give us some cap flexibility? Maybe decline his player option and take less money over a longer period of time?

I mean he'll be 33 at that point.

I'd say that's a pretty reasonable assumption. I wouldn't "expect" him to do it, but wouldn't be surprised at all.

Ignore everything him and Lifshatz say, they got some scoops a couple years ago and milk that.

Just made this post on the GB. Thought I should post it here as well.

This is how the cap sheet looks resigning everyone http://www.shamsports.com/capulator?id=11734050115b4f941da6584980907550

Total taxes of around 200 million in 3 years by signing everyone.

That’s assuming

Horford opts out and gets a contract at 3 years 75M He gets more money to opt out. He would do this unless he thinks he could get more than 22M per. Or even if he does maybe he takes a slight discount to stay in Boston. Realistically I think we could make him opt out and resign him for 2/50.

Rozier to get a Contract 100M 4 years (doubtful)

Dumping Yabu or Morris this year to get out of lux tax. (I used Yabu in this model) ... but Morris would work too.

Cutting Nader (Seems like a given since they are most likely offering Bird a contract)

This is how the cap sheet looks without signing Rozier. http://www.shamsports.com/capulator?id=12048403445b4f955449119753555865
Total taxes of just over 33 Million over 3 years.

So assuming we don’t resign Rozier were left with Kyrie Smart Tatum Brown Hayward Ojeyele Bird Thies Horford ... bacically everyone but Rozier at a reasonable tax point.

I didn’t do the 4th year (2021 - 2022) as im not sure what type of contracts Hayward Bird Ojeyele and Thies would command.

I’m not worried about Luxury Tax honestly. I think we lose Rozier but that’s it. We could easily replace him with Wanamaker Bird or get use the Kings LAC MEM or BOS picks to get a cheap replacement.
Bet with Stillwater Celtics will finish 6th or higher in ECF Standings Regular Season(17-18). [WON]

Al wants to win. I suspect his best shot at winning will still be in Boston when his deal expires. We'll almost certainly be above the cap still and will likely want to keep him. Odds are they can work it out. Maybe not as simple as it worked with Baynes, but I suspect they'll get it done.

I agree Al loves the organization and his role within it. I can see him making some concessions. Maybe opting out and doing something like 3 for 60 with last year a player option.

Pretty much true. Imo, despite his health issues Kyrie is still 26 and a way more proven and clutch than Derozan. Kyrie actually thrives where Derozan shrinks. I guess Derozan's contract is longer tho, but I doubt the Spurs would take Derozan over Kyrie(unless they really decided the length of DD's contract presents more security).
Good assessment:
