On that Theis-Hayward screen I was kinda confused as to who was shooting and who setting the screen. Weird.

I wanna see Williams get some burn with the main rotation guys in the first half. I think he earned a trial run with his solid play last night

Rightfully so, I mean we've shown no progress.

I predict that we will irrationally hype at least one player as a result of tonights game

I dont think the positive talk about Williams so far is over hyping at all really. He looked good, nobody is saying he’s AD out there but his energy and especially his passing were pleasant surprises

Injuries are never cool. But as long as Horford's 100% ready in time for the Finals in June...

To be honest, i have been away and didnt even see the chatter on Williams and wasnt referencing him at all. Was more just poking fun at the hot takes people love to toss out on preseason games.

Id start him tonight, FWIW— these games mean nothing and im curious as to how he’d look in a relatively higher pressure situation playing with the starters.

Agree, with Horford sitting I think it’s the perfect time to give Williams some burn with the 1’s. Plus it keeps your bench unit in tact.

Honestly Williams is the only new guy to overhype. We essentially know what everyone else in the rotation is capable of. Hopefully Wannamaker can have a better showing tonight because he was pretty poor Friday as well

Excited to have NBA back in my life :)

I only watched first 15-ish minutes of the game versus Charlotte, Celtics were up big, making every shot yet I didn't enjoy what I saw. It looked like an all star game. One pass, take a 3, bring the ball up, take a 3, step back 3.. very little ball/body movement. There was a sequence of 5 possessions in a row where Hayward didn't touch the ball. He's too talented to stay in the corner.

Obviously overreacting at this point is silly, but I'm a little bit worried that C's have 4 guys who think they should average 20 a game and be #1 or #2 option. Having a lot of talent is a dream, but having some sort of pecking order is also nice. I'm sure Horford will willingly take less shots/points per game but I don't now about others.

C's need another guy to be OK with being #3 or #4 option and getting 15 points a game. I think it should be Jaylen but it looks to me that Gordon has the personality to take a lesser role, which, if fully healthy, he definitely should not be doing. Utah's Hayward is our best or second best player.

I do have faith in player's characters and Brad's coaching that this will not be 'I better get up one now' offense like it was first year in Miami with their Big 3.

Lol like you said, overreacting to this is pretty dumb. Stevens literally said before the game he was going to let the players do their own thing and feel themselves out. The reason there was so much iso ball was because Stevens wasn't calling plays. It's fine.
