G League to offer $125K to elite prospects as alternative to college one-and-done route
Jonathan Givony | ESPN | 10-18-18

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/25015812/g-league-offer-professional-path-elite-prospects-not-wanting-go-one-done-route-ncaa
In a move that could challenge the NCAA's monopoly on elite talent, the NBA's G League is creating a new venture as an alternative to the one-and-done route for the best American basketball prospects, it was announced Thursday.

As part of a newly formed professional path starting in the summer of 2019, the G League will offer "Select Contracts" worth $125,000 to elite prospects who are at least 18 years old but not yet eligible for the NBA draft.

The G League will target recent or would-be high school graduates who otherwise would have likely spent just one season playing college basketball, enticing them not only with a six-figure salary but also the opportunity to benefit from NBA infrastructure, as well as a bevy of off-court development programs "geared toward facilitating and accelerating their transition to the pro game," league president Malcolm Turner told ESPN.

I’m going to go if they get Williams assigned. Wish they didn’t play in the Expo, though.

I think that Williams will stay with the Celtics, while Theis is injured.
But, we're going to have 6 other guys from the Celtics Preseason Roster.:

NBA Two-Way Contract Players (from the Boston Celtics): P.J. Dozier, Walter Lemon, Jr.

Affiliate Players (from Boston Celtics Training Camp): Justin Bibbs, Nick King, Jeff Roberson

Returning Players (invited to camp): Marcus Georges-Hunt

Looks like a strong starting 5. Lemon and Dozier can score in bunches and Williams should dominate

Williams with a quick 4 pts to start the game. This production is better than Monday Night Football. Well except for the technical difficulties already 2 mins into the game.

EDIT: wow this production actually sucks hardcore. Crazy volume spikes and lulls, cutouts, etc. Unwatchable. Robert Williams with a block just now though.

RIP to whoever just had headphones in when that audio spiked. I guess this is what tinnitus feels like.

Williams went to the Bench early. Not even 4 mins into the game.
I wonder what the gameplan is here?

Second night of a back-to-back. Don't want to wear him out.

This is giving me flashbacks to trying to watch RealPlayer streams like 15 years ago. Brutal. Can't believe 227 other people are watching this garbage.
