Dolan is taking offers for the Knicks. Let's hope the potential transaction interferes with their free agency meetings this summer.

I changed the channel during the commercial break, right before that happened. I thought the game was over. Probably one of my most regrettable moments during my Celtics fandom.

No that's bad news. James Dolan is the anchor that has kept the Knicks down for decades. The last thing we want is NY to have a competent owner on top of the ridiculous advantage they have just being NYC.

No link unfortunately. It's a rumor that Bill Simmons apparently heard from a few people during All-Star weekend, and he says it during his latest podcast. He said that Dolan is more interested in improving MSG for concerts and in-game entertainment. Dude is trying to get $5 billion for the team.

It's the Knicks. Idk about $5 billion but someone in Saudi Arabia or Russia will pay for sure.

They are valued at $4b, with revenues skyrocketing.

I just mean I do not know enough about the situation to know the exact number they will sell for. My main point is that someone in Saudi Arabia or Russia will pay the price no matter what it is because it's the Knicks.

He will never be sonics leader in anything just like any player of OKC. I always get mad when i think that thunder tries to own sonics history. Props to gary payton saying he doesn't want his jersey retired in OKC.

I actually appreciate the fact that they acknowledge what happened unlike the Lakers.

Kobe is the all time scoring leader for the Minnesota Lakers/Los Angles Lakers imo.

Shams just came out and said the whole story is fake about the Knicks being put on the market.

The league will never differentiate the two because that would then blow up the Lakers' number of titles. It would take away all their Minneapolis ones, which I think should be the case anyway.

The guy that bought them was an OKC resident and he had it planned all along. He never had the intention of keeping the franchise in seattle.
Which explains why sonics fans absolutely hate the thunder.
Westbrook never played for the sonics. KD did for a season.
Westbrook is an OKC legend. He will never be acknowledged as such in seattle though.

Agreed. The NBA giving OKC the Sonics history was a bull **** slap in the face on top of the bull **** way the whole "oh we tried to stay" deal went down. Props to Westbrook for what he's done in Oklahoma but Gary Payton will always be the Sonics all-time leading scorer unless the team gets remade (Seattle still owns the Sonics history, too) and someone else surpasses him in Seattle. **** Clay Bennet and **** Howard Shultz.

Thirded. If he actually follows thru and runs for president, being responsible for Starbucks will only be the 3rd worst thing he’s done.

Is the talk about just selling the Knicks? Or the whole shebang (because doesn't he own the Rangers and MSG)?

Return to Boston Celtics
