This is exactly why I am in no way, shape or form giving up Tatum to get Davis. The dude is literally ALWAYS hurt. He is made of tissue paper.

I am starting to get to the point I want to go 3 days without hearing about an AD trade. Just a few days......lets enjoy the current group we have and their potential for this season.

We'd have to give up too much, to get him.
I think that the top 12 guys that we have now, we just need to keep.

Blake kneed AD in the hip. I'm sure Blake would literally kill half of the players in the NBA with that move...

Gonna watch Craps - Freak game.
We cannot lose - either Craps go to 7 L or Bucks join Philly with 9L.
Then Craps go on to play Clips A, Dubs A, Portland A, Denver A, Pacers H & Philly A BEFORE Xmas!
And we will just keep on winning with 10 L.

Maybe, but the fact that AD has such an extensive injury history leads me to believe otherwise.

it’s not about talent. when the celtics bring low energy effort they lose ugly - playing with a sense of urgency they take care of business. c’s offense is soaking wet right now

He played 75 games each of the last two years (more games played than Brown, Horford, Hayward, Irving, Theis, Smart and Marcus Morris). Looks like mostly taking second nights of B2Bs off the last two years. I don't see any major injuries since a knee injury at the end of 2016, and that was probably just being overly cautious at the end of a season that they won 30 games. How many of these little sore quads and bruised hip injuries are really that serious? His injury history is way overstated.

If Williams is back from personal leave, this just might be the game where he gets significant non-garbage minutes. If AD is a no-go, the game will get ugly - and I mean that in a good way.

Taken from the Bulls game thread:

SmartWentCrazy wrote:Ive always had a theory that teams enter B2B’s looking to split and that they subconciously let up if they win the front end.

The Bulls won a close one last night. Expecting my theory to hold up.

The Pelicans won last night and had to travel to play the second end of the B2B tonight. Expecting my theory to hold up and the Celtics to get another double digit victory.

if davis could be a full time PF I would have no concerns about his health moving forward.

Thinner guys manning up to bigger dudes in the paint takes a toll.

Davis needs a big center beside him to take the beating (williams/Baynes/Drummond/Adams type of guy for example)

We need this, it's at home. So hopefully we get this.
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

.500 team

Second game of a back to back away game

We've had a day off.

Win by 15+ there is no excuse.

I actually like Theis in the starting lineup. He's not the most mobile or atheltic of bigs but he's MUCH more mobile and atheltic than Horford and Baynes are this year. I feel like the extra quickness and leaping ability added something to our defense and as a lob option (the other two are lob options but the margin for error for the passer is much higher with Theis than Horford or Baynes).

I didn't like what I saw from Hayward last game. He didn't look as bad as first month Hayward but he didn't look like a threat on offense in the slightest. And then there was the other game he couldn't leap and was getting block consistently near the rim on his drives.

I'd like to see more out of Gordon tonight. At least starting down the road of being inconsistently a great option off the bench.

Still think he's the best playmaker on the team after probably Irving. So that's good. But I need a lot more from him than what we saw in two blowouts of the Knicks and Bulls.

2 for 6 and 2 for 5 for totals of 5 and 8 points... that simply won't cut it.

He doesn't have to score a lot but he has to hit his shots and do better than 22% and 33% shooting. Especially when he's not forcing it and all his shots are in motion and open looks and just jumpshots even... not even contested. Also want to stop looking so tentative that he doesn't even appear to be a threat on the court.

Really want to see better from him tonight. Good work playmaking though and rebounding.

The Pelicans are not nearly as bad as their record may indicate, so demanding a 15+ point win is overboard, especially if Horford is still out. I'll be happy with a win, period.

He has played 70 games just twice in his career. He hasn't had any debilitating injuries, but the constant nicks and bruises are concerning.

It's 28 games in and they're as injured as they ever have been.

AD was right when he says he has to play perfectly for them to win half the nights.

They've got a top 5 offense and bottom 5 defense so...

I do think they are as bad as their record is.
