I rewatched season 2 of Ozark because it had been sooo long since I had watched it the first time and god damn I forgot how good that show is. 6 episodes into season 3 it's still really good but not quite as crazy as season 2 although I am assuming it picks up to close out the season. Spoilers in the spoilers.

Spoiler:
Currently at the point where Marty and Wendy are split. I'm wondering if Marty wasn't being opportunistic picking his fight with Wendy so that he could get romantic with Mia in an effort to turn her. Wendy's character development is interesting. An observer in season 1, an integral player in season 2 and now addicted to the crime life in season 3. Shows no remorse for killing people. Will be interesting to see if she can reel it in. Charolette's gone from an annoying bitch in season 2 to a respectable character in season 3. Jonah has always been cool and continues to be so. I feel like Ben is about to go off the rails. Got a few chores to finish up before likely binge-ing the rest of the season tn.

Got 3 episodes left. Pacing was great so far. Nothing too crazy. I feel a storm coming.

Just finished it too.

Spoiler:
I thought the last scene was kind of predictable. Still love this show regardless.

It’s Breaking Bad - very lite that sacrifices the artistry that made BB so great for faster pace and cheap entertainment value. I love it. Can’t wait to binge season 3. Just started Tiger show.

I have really enjoyed it! I stayed up way past my bedtime watching "just one more" lately.

Spoiler:
The end may have been predictable, but it was necessary. How deep are they willing to go now? What is going to happen to everyone next season?? Can't wait to find out!
Win it for Al!!!

Adam Schlesinger, one of the leaders of Fountains of Wayne, passed away today (https://consequenceofsound.net/2020/04/adam-schlesinger-dies-coronavirus/).

I really liked FoW (well, the first few records at least). They were a really fun band.

Pretty sure I may have linked this one before. Don't care. It's perfect.

Cool tune. Kind of reminiscent of "Smalltown Boy" by Bronski Beat, a huge hit in the mid-eighties.

Yeah, saw a few people note that in the comments. For whatever reason, I just played Smalltown Boy last week for the first time in like 30 years. Weeeird. I posted the album version, but have already decided that I like this live version more, because... well... guitar distortion rules.

It's sheer brilliance. The writing is excellent. The direction, which is mostly Bateman in season 3 is phenomenal. He frames shots so well. And Laura Linney and Tom Pelphrey who played Wendy's brother were absolutely masterful. Linney's range during this season was a clinic in series acting 101.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

Not to mention Julia Garner.

RIP Bill. Still Bill is such a great album. One of the first soul records I ever bought.

I beat God of war this past weekend (great game) and been watching Future Man on hulu. Season 1 I really liked and was funny, but I didn't like season 2 as much. Season 3 was just released yesterday on my bday. 36 years. Where does time go?

Belated happy bday, SC33! I feel the same way about Future Man. Enjoyed S1 so much but S2 was a bit of a letdown. Too weird for my taste. Gonna check out S3 tomorrow or Monday.

Thanks! I was thinking after I finish this 3rd season of Future Man I'd jump into Castle Rock. I watched the first episode a few weeks ago and liked it, but just got swept up into other things before I could continue it.

Totally get the Bronski Beat vibe. Kinda likes mix of them and Siouxsie.
