Ugh...Jermaine O **** Neal. I swear his two years of injuries cost us dearly.

Hated Jermaine's old man game. Dude sucked. Yes he tried but he sucked.

Troy Murphy, Shaq. Busts here from age purposes. Not Shaq's fault he was hurt but sadly busts.

I'm not even sure about the "he tried" bit with JO. He tried sometimes.
Also, I still think Doc should have used Krstic more that season.

Beyond that, haven't watched the game yet, but looks like a nice tidy victory with apparently a lapse in the 4th. At least I'm prepared now going in.

We need to sign robin lopez no matter what if we want to make a deep run in the playoffs, give him the full mle if is necessary.
There are no alternatives at this point.

Agreed--but didn't he get hurt pretty quickly? I think it was adding all those new bench guys that overwhelmed Doc.

Doesn't hurt to wait. We can sign somebody in March. That way we can watch for late buyouts (whatever the buyout time frame is).

Even if we don't get anyone, we'll be fine. We got a good squad already. There are aspects we're lacking, but talent is not one of them. Whether we figure it out will not be that dependent on whether we get somebody from the buyout market or not.

That said, getting another center would be nice, at least as an insurance in case Baynes gets hurt in the postseason, as Theis is not perfectly suited in this role and Time Lord is still one or two years away from contributing.

But I will for sure not be upset about missing out on Kanter or another Morris.

Or Markieff Morris but it looks like he is going to OKC. So much for him wanting to play with his brother.

Or Enes Kanter but he is going to Portland.

Or Marcin Gortat

Or Greg Monroe

Or Find the next Greg Stesma in the D-League. Perhaps Chinanu Onuaku or Amida Brimah

He hasn't been bought out. He initially was going to be but now he apparently isn't.

I think Gortat would be a solid choice. We are short on bigs and Baynes hasn’t been healthy this season. Gortat could provide some toughness on the boards.

I think he had something minor, maybe, but there were a lot of healthy DNPs. Esp. in the playoffs.

Markieff went to OKC. Just did a few fist pumps and a little dance to celebrate. Today is a good day.

The fact the Celtics have neglected the buyout market tells me that theyre going to sign some random bum to the MLE. AD is happening

Crazy how many people keep looking for players to sign, when it was addressed at the deadline they would be patient. Long way to go yet. Ainge has said everything true for a long time. Just need to listen.

Who is the best center in the G-Leagu at the moment. This team really needs a back up big that can provide rim protection. Don't get me wrong, I like Theis and think he is a good player but sometimes he struggles a lot against bigger centers.

I'm sure we would gladly take a non-bum, but that non-bum has realize he is signing for the rest of this year with Boston and next year with New Orleans.

I honestly like Gortat a ton as a fill in. Dude has publicly hinted several times he'd like to play here. He's liked a bunch of Celtics stuff on the internet(sofiacl media era 8-) ). I think he'd fit great.
Good assessment:

Gortat and Beasley are the only decent players left that have actually been bought out already. If we don't get either of them, just get Greg Monroe as a backup big and he can give us all Nick Nurse's plays.

Problem is everyone knows why Boston would give them a Keith Van Horn contract. Boston also has set rotations. So minutes would be tough too.
