TBH, I'm not sure where this schizophrenic team ends up.
But I'm thinking that it's between 3rd and 4th.

Either way, we have the Raptors and Bucks in the 2nd and 3rd Rounds, depending upon where we finish.
We basically have to beat the top 3-4 Teams, all the way through the Playoffs.

5th seed Sixers or pacers in the first round.

My preferred seeding/path to Banner 18:

1st round: 4th seed vs. Pacers
2nd round: tough 7-game series vs. Bucks
ECF: confetti sweep vs. Sixers who took out the Raptors
Finals: HCA vs. Lakers who upset the Warriors in the 1st round (for the rights to trade for AD)
OR tough 7-game series vs. the Warriors (for the rights to sign KD for the MLE)

Need to play the Pacers somehow. It's pathetic we aren't even gaining ground on then but they don't deserve it.

It doesn't matter where we finish because Kyrie said no one is beating us in a 7 game series, and Tatum said we were winning the Finals. I believe them both.

Just give me Indy in the first round.

Time of the season also where these lottery teams have nothing to lose and they will beat yo ass if you don't show up.

I want us to remain in 4/5 because I would much rather play Milwaukee in 2nd round than Raptors.

So best case:
4th with home court playing Indy, than in 2nd round Milwaukee and than probably Toronto in ECF.

GoCeltics123 wrote:Definitely a really, really tough stretch. According to TeamRankings.com, that's the 3rd toughest future schedule in the league. The thing is the Pacers have been so unbelievably consistent this season, that they might be fine; they're 26-7 against sub .500 teams, which is second best in the league behind GS. However, this stretch is littered with playoff teams, and a lot of road games (11 road, 10 home).

Indiana has had a really favorable schedule since the Oladipo injury that was supposed to derail the season. They haven't really played any daunting road games and had a 6 game homestand. It is about to get much, much tougher.

Indiana down 4 to the Pistons at halftime. Pistons had a huge 18 point lead, but the Pacers closed the half strong.

EDIT: In the Philly game, Ben Simmons took another three. He missed, again.

Pacers lost to Detroit by 4. Also may lose Sabonis for some time, he rolled his ankle at the end of the game and limped off.

Philly up 10 on New Orleans.

Oops didn't see that part, that team is snake bit this year at times. Was just following the score loosely.

This loss is on AD. 20 minutes he played. Not enough to help out his future team (Celtics).

edit: Getting one of Indy/Philly losing is enough I guess for tonight. Beggars can't be choosers. Now lets hope the Celtics can jump start themselves too now. :D

Ironically it might be a good thing actually (for those who want Indiana and the Bucks in Round 2), Philly is now 1 behind Indiana, with the tiebreak. For those who want the Pacers, Philly passing them for third is easiest.

Forgot to mention too, Boban looked like he got a serious knee injury in the Sixers game. Like Sabonis, worth monitoring over the next few weeks (or possibly months).

Healthy, we play the way we're capable of minus the individual agendas, we can beat anyone in the East in a 7-game series. We play the way we have this month, a first round exit would not be surprising.

So seeding has been a concern less than ever (esp w/ no Lebron to avoid).

Looks like Boban avoided serious injury and should be back by the Playoffs.

EDIT: Yup:
