I get the idea behind +/-, but like you said, there are at least 9 other factors on the court. It's assumption by correlation, which I don't get why anyone who has a understanding of statistics would hold +/- reputable in any way

Well for a normal distribution it is assumed to at least have a higher sample size.

So yes 1 game isn't high enough. It is something to note though, conclusions maybe not but it is something to note about team synergy.

It’s a small part of the story in a single game but it is a pretty useful stat with a large sample size IMO. There are plenty of other variables of course.

We've been spoiled. Bird was clutch. Then we got Pierce. IT for a season. And now Kyrie. Blessed to have guys who love the 4th quarter. Swinging some big **** balls and teabagging teams in clutch situations.

Don't forget Ray. He was the clutchest on the Celtics when he was there.
