LaVar, you got any thoughts on your boy's future after the Pel's pick Garland?

112m/4 yrs is great for Al and I guess I’m glad Danny didn’t match or beat that offer.

Baby, I love Al and I wish there was a way but for his sake and age, I'd take that so fast it would be memeable!

Average $28/yr. -- Go ahead Horford.

Holy ****. Unbelievable deal for Al if true. Thank goodness we aren’t paying that. Wow.

I don’t believe Dallas rumor. One team I could definitely see doing that is New Orleans. He’d be a great mentor for Ball, Ingram, Hayes and Zion. JRue and Horford would back bone a great defense and given their young talent and lack of ability to attract FAs, they can afford to overpay for Al the way we did 3 years ago. Winning and the marketability of Zion would be huge for that franchise.

Kind of bad reporting in the sense that 4/100 technically isn't even a max deal.

Giving himself an out so he does not have to shout all of Dallas a drink

Not that familiar with him but he is a local Dallas guy. Had a lot of accurate info with the Nerlens contract situation with Dallas.

As a cowboys fan I can tell you mike fisher doesn’t break news, he does have sources but he’s not the most reliable when it comes to the cowboys and they are his prime team he covers.

He's a very, very solid source. Been around the scene forever and seems plugged in.

Have to disagree about fisher when it comes to breaking news- he’s very good when it’s a public story getting an inside take or an exclusive interview but many times he’s used a single leverage or to gauge the fan base because people think bc of his connections hes more than he is.

He also has the luxury of having a rabid and very massively large Dallas cowboys fan base giving him clicks and re-tweets. Unfortunately like the rule of large numbers many of those fans are uninformed and just don’t understand certain aspects of the salary cap etc

I'd spent 112 mils for Vuc, btw. I think Vuc will be in his prime for at least another 2-3 years, I think Al is past his peak. I think he's still fantastic but Dallas fans will be seriously underwhelmed by his performances during the regular seasn as he will average 12/6. He's a great playoff performer and always strong on D and a good passer. I'm also happy Danny ain't giving up 4 years. I thought 3 at about 80 was a darn lot considering his age(it was rumored to be between 3-70, maybe 80) and I knew some team was about to overpay for him big time once the talks broke off..

Rumored speculation is another term for fake news. It's people (Windhorst) speculating about a rumor.

$112M is the number that Horford's agent floated to announce to teams that conversations about Horford's next address will start at that number, preferrably going upward.

If this goes up Al's agent deserves Nobel price.... We liked him for who he is, and I'll miss him 100x more than the lizard of light, but that's silly money for a guy who will average 12/6. He's a top 3 defensive big man in the game, passes better than a lots of the PGs in the game, but getting 28-30 mils til he's 37 is bizarre.

The thing that surprises me the most is that Danny was actually willing to sign Al to a 4 year deal. Jackie wouldn't reveal the amount, but did say we offered him 4 years.

Which, if true, kinda gives you a hint that he's willing to use that cap space on an actual max player. That he's not all that worried about cap flexibility moving forward.

Or maybe he believes in Horford so much that he thinks just getting him back makes us a contender? I just can't believe the owners are willing to become repeater tax payers without at least a real shot of making the Finals.
