Mannix just confirmed that Jaylen was front and center in the In-fighting on this team and with Kyrie.

I'd be willing to bet that he's also connected to the "Hayward gets treated different" complaints as well.

My gut tells me that he is just a sour grape and needs to go. We need to sell high on him cuz IMO he's close to his ceiling but is still potentially viewed as a player with a lot of room to grow around the league.

Personally, sounds like JB might have been the only guy in the organization with enough nads to tell KI to STFU. That includes the coach and GM.

If they had done what was best for the Celtics and spent less time on their knees for Kyrie, he would have been gone at the deadline.

If anything, this article makes me like JB more.

And Jaylen showed up in the playoffs, unlike most of the other players.

I really hope we don't trade Jaylen for a pick unless it 1 or 2. I don’t really feel anyone else in this draft has his ceiling or floor.

Edit: though I do like Jaylen I could understand trading him for 3 or 4. But anything lower than that seems a step down.

Does anyone believe there is anything behind Jaylen Brown trade rumors? Trading him for a top 4 pick does balance roster especially if team drafts Garland to play point and with Hayward healthy. Smart plus depth from Semi/?Herro would offset the loss somewhat. I personally would rather build with him than Hayward who could opt out next year, but I do get the vibe from him that he would ditch Boston for LA in a heartbeat.

I completely believe Jaylen is in play for the 3rd or 4th pick and agree with your entire post other than the last bit ("I do get the vibe from him that he would ditch Boston for LA in a heartbeat.") I'd also prefer to build around Jaylen and Tatum over Hayward and Tatum.

The thing with Jaylen is that I've heard enough about how he is difficult and a diva to believe that the Celtics would be open to trading him despite my personal belief in his potential as a player. The challenge is that a bunch of other teams seem to want to move up to 4 as Garland is increasingly getting recognized as the 4th potential jewel in this draft.

Atlanta, Minnesota, Chicago and more have been rumored to be seeking the #4 pick (although I suspect Atlanta would be moving up to take Hunter, not Garland since they already have Trae Young). We know at last #8 and #10 are on the table -- the question is what could we offer to beat that. Would likely have to be Jaylen + 20 or something along those lines and I'm not sure if Ainge would go that far. Will be interesting to who the pick is at #4 and how things play out tonight.

Trading Brown for youth would be a really bad idea. I won’t **** on any of these players cause I do believe Danny has something up his sleeve to get to the up the draft. But trading JB because he told Kyrie off is not a good reason to trade someone. **** Kyrie, first of all. Second of all, I am not opposed to dealing him for a vet.

Just a hunch, I think we trade Jaylen to the Knicks.. they make more sense than any of the other top teams, I can see them wanting a sure thing with a high floor, instead of the risk of Barrett or Garland..

It makes sense. But it is rare that we trade with the Knicks, right? I don´t remember the last time we did business together.

Last second Hail Mary: Hayward/#14 to GS for Durant, resign Kyrie and Al. Would still be favorite in East while Durant sits depending on hits to Raptors, Bucks and Sixers. Getting delusional as draft approaches.....man this year has sucked.....except for Pats, Hoos, Sox and Bruins.

ESPN is taliking about GS signing Durant to 5 years with promise to trade so he can get extra 51 million. Would Kyrie resign for his 5 year max if Boston offered Hayward/Brown/Memphis pick for Durant? Would Durant agree to do it if both Al and Kyrie resigned?

Doesn't seem like something the knicks would do.... they would be more risk averse and also going for the higher offensive upside. they would also lose a couple years of control on a rookie deal and RJ would be shinier in a trade leading up to the regular season or in-season.

Value is there, but doesnt seem like it would fit the knicks or what they are looking to do.

knicks would be more like draft RJ Barrett, max a middle of the road guy like Middleton and then overpay juilius randle

With wall on a supermax making 38-40 million a year I cant see the Wizards trading for heyward making 32M the next 2 seasons.

The only thing that makes me feel like theyre trying to move the pick is that theyre leaking like crazy about Garland— feels like theyre really trying to drum up trade interest in the pick.
