Let me be the first to say it...

**** Anthony Davis.

A bit shortsighted to trash DAR as inefficient.

Last year he had a .533 TS% on 31.9% usage, including 37% from 3, while averaging 25/8/5 per 36--as a 22yo. JT and JB were both at .547 TS% on 22% usage with 3.3 and 2.5 assists and 37% and 34% from the 3, respectively.

His defensive BPM has improved each of his four years in the league and last season he had 2.6 DWS. (He was ahead of JT on both last year.) And his VORP at 3.3 was way ahead of JT and JB at 0.8 and 0.0, respectively.

Christ. Last year things looked pretty optimistic with being 1 game away from the Finals, GH returning, Kyrie pledging his fidelity and a possible AD move on the horizon to get us over the line.

Hell of a lot of uncertainty now. I reckon we will probably stick with the kids and hope GH gets back to the standard he showed in Utah rather than go for a KG and Ray Allen esque blockbuster trade.

Maybe it’s better to shift the focus a few years down the line, I feel like a lot of other teams have got way better and we would be better suited going for it when our young guys have developed.

Or maybe Bol Bol will raise #18 for us

Not sure where this DAR rumor is coming from. Not a huge Russell guy, but I would rather pay him than Irving or Rozier.

What else would have to happen though? In my opinion JT needs to have that break out third year, Gordon needs to play like Utah Gordon, JB needs to keep up what he was doing towards the end of the season, we need to acquire a decent big that can at least get 12+ rebounds a night and either Rozier manages to play like he did in the playoffs last year (other than that game 7 against Cleveland) or we get a proper point guard that can distribute and run an offense.

That’s quite a lot of change.

Maybe if Kyrie and Morris are gone that might do us wonders subject to some of the above happening, given a lot of crap shots won’t be forced anymore.

Horford has 2 maybe 3 good years left. If he's serious about winning a title before he retires he has to leave now. He knows now this group is taking the stairs, not the elevator. I kinda hope he does leave. He deserves a real shot. And wherever he goes I'll root for him.

If it comes down to picking one, yea, but I'd rather have Rondo back or Rubio instead of any of the 3. Rozier's career outside of last year's run has been awful, Russell has too many wholes in his game as I wrote. Irving is probably the craziest(mentally) player we've had for the 15 years I've been watching the C's. Only thing with Rondo is hire Perk as assistant he wont be worse than Walter McCarthy and Brad would have a bouncer by his side(Perk and Rondo are close, also Perk can keep Rondo straight so he doesn't swing at Brad)..

Butler & Harris leave.
BKN has Kyrie & DLo or one of the last 2. Meh.
MIL can only afford Middleton and Brogdon.
JB/JT get better. Terry and Gordon outplay Kyrie & Morris.

That's a path to lose to the Clippers in the finals. Perfect follow up to this year, losing to our old coach.

Btw, when it comes down to it, I'd take Ty Jerome over Rozier, too. I think Jerome might be a better basketball player than Terry right now.

He still dominated us in that first round series vs the Bulls, when he played. I think he'd make a good player coach. Say what you want about him, he's intelligent, he's confident, (eta competitive), and he's willing to push buttons. We could use that.

Wasn’t that one of the problems this year though with there being not enough shots to go around. I’m not saying Rondo is the answer but I would much rather see a PG who doesn’t look for his shot first and is instead a facilitator.

Rondo was a 36 percent shooter on 3's last season ( 51/142 in 46 games played). It's better than Jaylen, Rozier and Hayward.

We need someone who feed the ball to Tatum, Jaylen, Morris (if he is still there next season) etc... He is a great facilitator, and that's probably what this team need right now, instead of a selfish scorer.

Get a pass first PG like Rondo or Rubio. Both want to play here, apparently. That´s something that is not common to hear lately since most people scratch Celtics from their wishlists ...

I’m loving all these non-moves. It’s crazy how many people want to burn Danny at the stake.

I’ve been against the AD trade since day 1. A little tired of these divas who can’t accomplish anything so they hold their teams hostage. We dodged two very overrated bullets.

1. Smart can play point and having him on the floor is a good thing. Let him be Dennis Johnson it’s his destiny.

2. Let’s worry about getting a big (fully actualized or developmental) rather than point.

Rondo really only takes wide open threes and launches to beat the shot clock. Lowry shot 35% in the playoffs just now... much different types of shot attempts though.
