Celtics 2019 1st round, pick 3

Here's your chance to record your picks for posterity. Its dangerous territory, we can pull it back up in years to come and mock your mock picks later, then again you may be able to show off your genius backseat GMing abilities. I used nbadraft.net and bleacher report as reference. If you see someone you'd rather have that's not listed write your option in comments (doesn't count as a great pick if your write in is off the board when we select).

Every year I post these and people complain about who I included and who I left out this year is especially tough as there is a great deal of variability as well as overlap between options for all three first round picks.

I'm doing something different this year because there is so much variability in the mocks I decided to lump these choices together and post one poll where you pick three instead of three separate polls.

For the record I want Bol Bol, Goga Bitadze (hopefully draft and stash), and Bruno Fernando. Oh and I want Tacko Fall (2 way contract) in 2nd round.

Good poll really illustrated for me that there are a bunch of dudes at about the same level. I picked Hero, Rui, Goga. I don’t mind a gamble on Bol though

Not pretending to have watched many of these players this year but I hope Ainge gets Bol Bol with one of his first 2 picks. With where Ainge is drafting and the position the Celtics are in, it doesn't matter that much if he completely whiffs on a pick. At least Bol looks like he could be a better perimeter scorer than Al Horford in a few years if he makes it and doesn't have injuries ruin his career.

He looks like can shoot the ball well. Tall. Has some skills/moves. Fairly athletic. Sure he is skinny but not as skinny as his father. Not as tall as his father either.

With Bol if he is somehow really good years 2-3.5 but then gets a serious injury, it may still be well worth it.

And the last thing is even if his overall NBA defense is not that great like against elite postup players, he may fit into a defensive strategy against Giannis. The guy is tall enough to give Giannis something to be worried about.

It would be a cool pick in the sense Ainge literally played against his father.
