Draft Rankings & Predictions - '19

Post#1 » by threrf23 » Thu Jun 20, 2019 5:49 am

This is kind of an offshoot on the poll regarding our picks. No debate, limited discussion: rank your top 5, top 30, top 100...give your sleepers and/or busts, whatever. Go on the record and optionally revisit in the future to see where your head was at.

My prediction (or perhaps hope since I like being entertained). RJ Barrett becomes the next Paul Pierce when the Knicks pass on him and make one of their signature unexpected picks and he free falls as teams who don't expect him to be there already lock into other choices.

You have Langford in twice and no Garland in the lotto?

Sorry, second one is Garland. I am not really high on him TBH. Injury risk is concerning and I think he's not really a PG. He reminds me of guys like DSJ who I just don't think are difference-makers.

That was fun. I only posted in 2017 and picked Tatum as best player and had Donovan Mitchell top 10! In 2015 only one person mentioned Rozier at #27. In 2016 - which had the most posts and people ranking up to 40 players......not one person mentioned Paskal Siakam.....not one!

Here’s my shot at who will be top 10 players (+1)in this draft looking back:

1. Ja Morant
2. Zion ( I think he is amazing but I think NBA size will hinder and I worry about longevity )
3. RJ Barrett
4. Reddish
5. Garland
6. Kevin Porter
7. PJ Washington
8. Brandon Clarke
9. Rui Hashimora
10. Carson Edwards
11. Goga

What makes you think he will disappoint ???
His father (@7'6) was durable enough and had a long NBA career and Manute started hitting 3s at a very high rate toward the end of his career ...his son has a serious stroke with some handle at 7'3 & will be a shot blocker !

I PRAY that he is there at 14 !
