Feel really bad for Tremont. Terrible thing to go through. Also can't help thinking that the Celtics family has been hit with tragedy way more than its share over the years.

I'm speechless. Too sad to believe. All I can do is pray for the family and his dads soul..

I admire his strength. I can just imagine what he's going through right now and yet he is here playing.

Reminiscent of what happened to IT not so long ago.

Except IT still hasn't stopped talking about what he'd done. Waters I bet will be more humble and dignified about this.

It's a hard decision. Our culture just sucks at grieving. Everyone does it different so no knock on him, I just hope he knows there's nothing weak about taking time to come to terms with this. Basketball will be there a week or two from now.

So anyway: If the Celtics want to create a roster spot, e.g. to give Tacko Fall a two-way, one idea is to offload Wanamaker, give his roster spot to Waters, and free up a slot accordingly. Could such a move possibly make basketball sense? Other than Wanamaker/Waters, the Cs really have only two legitimate PGs, Walker and Smart. (Beyond that, Hayward can fake the role credibly, and to a lesser extent Edwards or perhaps at some point Langford can as well.) So whenever Walker or Smart is hurt, Wanamaker/Waters is in line for serious backup PG minutes. And if both are hurt, there's even more responsibility than that. And this year we don't even have Horford as the ultimate emergency PG. :)

I don't think Waters showed he was brave by playing. He showed that he loves the game. It's where he escapes to be truly himself.

True PG's = Walker, Wanamaker, Waters.
Combo G's = Smart, Edwards.

Langford = is a SG. Not sure how well he slots as a PG.

Dude should get more minutes than Wanamaker and Edwards. Made some rookie turnovers and some rushed shots, but the guy can dish and get to the basket better than the other 2.

This guy is so dialed in when he plays. It's like the rest of the world disappears and he sees the court 5 seconds into the future.
