Whatever Kemba could give us on defense must be better than whatever that was that Kyrie gave us in the playoffs.

For starters, I don't see Kemba waving away others so that he can guard Giannis.

C'mon Danny....get us Durant for Hayward and some picks--Warriors scared they're gonna lose him for nothing.

It would make my day if Durant decided last minute that Boston was the place he wanted to be, and then worked a sign and trade for Hayward. Imagine Kyrie being left all alone in Brooklyn while his buddy, KD, decided to go to the team that he had just left. The numbers would be impossible, but it would be hilarious. Would anxiously await Kyrie's weird IG post talking about the universe again. Lol

Seriously, it makes no sense to me. I can't see a viable scenario where we trade Hayward for a positive return. We are much better off seeing what he looks like a full offseason from last year. He's also going to have a larger role, which can only help him.

Lol I agree. I am a Hayward apologist, but the way things are shaking out, we can look to improve our roster by finding places where his perceived value are higher. Indiana native, Pacers are familiar with the rapid improvements of a year 2 injury recovery (George), he would reduce their Big logjam, and would act as a relatively affordable replacement for the players (Bogdanovic) who are about to get paid in FA.

I am ALLLLL for keeping him if we can find a serviceable depth of Bigs.

How is the draft next year?

That Charlotte pick is going to be money.

Not sure if he came up with a new scenario, but the one I saw from him involved six teams. :o

Complicated sign and trades are hot/trending right now.

I dont really care about the 6 team one but I just like the framework of using Horford and Kemba in sign and trade at same time to generate the fact we can be an over the cap team who then would have full MLE, and have the potential to resign Mook. Because we'd be operating as an under the cap team.

Horford to Clippers
Kemba to Celtics
Hornets get Galo, 2nd from Clips, 2nd from Celtics

Thus allows clippers to get Horfrod, keep plenty of room to sign Kawhi and resign their guys they need to stay. (Bev, Green, McGruder)

Cs get flexibility as highlighted above.

Hornets get 2 picks and Gallo who is in last year but is a respectable talent back.

I'd love it on so many levels as it would make Clippers real scary.

Would be a firm square kick right to his chakras.

jeremym480 wrote:How about Joakim Noah with the MLE? He seemed to play pretty well in Memphis last season. He's doesn't stretch the floor but he's not going to hurt the team on either end of the court. He's a team player, a good passer, sets nice screens, and a decent FT shooter. Ideally, he would be Horford without the long ball. On defense he lost a step but still has a high IQ. He would be a good guy for Robert Williams to learn from.

Hell NO for joakim Noah! That guy can’t even be trusted to make a wide open shot underneath the basket.

INJECT THIS INTO MY VEINS!!!!

Nets probably saw this tweet and are trying to get a meeting with Kemba and Jeff Schwartz now.

Also, since Kyrie is petty, I'm fully expecting a tweet from Woj or Shams saying "Kyrie has told the Celtics he will not be returning", just so he can claim that he broke up with us first.

The Kemba news makes me wonder if we'll be making that Memphis pick for ourselves next year or the year after.

This is why I think we're probably headed for a JB trade.

So hard to come up with appealing scenarios though. We'd want to trade him for a 4/5, but I don't see a great scenario out there.

Maybe Blake Griffin.

I don’t even think there is interest from us but how does a Blake trade even become possible in terms of salary?

It would require Hayward too.

Hayward, JB, picks for Griffin/Kennard or something along those lines.

Unlikely scenario where we get to keep Horf...

1. Charlotte signs Kemba to his 4-year max, starting at $32.7M.
2. Boston signs Kyrie to his 4-year max, starting at $32.7M.
3. Boston signs Rozier to a 4-year, $59.8 deal, starting at $13.4M.
4. The Trade:

CHA gets Rozier, Yabu, Musa
BOS gets Kemba
BKN gets Kyrie, 2020 MIL 1st

Celtics keep Horford and give him all the money he wants in the world.

I don't think Kyrie will cooperate lol.

Celtics reply to Kyrie when he tries to run back to them after the Nets no longer want him

Since they are over the cap either way, might be worth considering to them.
