In 92 career games, Timelord has played 25+ mins in a game only twice and hasn't since his rookie year.

Depends on the analytics system you use. His net rating with the Jays (albeit in a smallish sample) is much better then Theis or TT. I think his basic On/Off rating struggles because he often plays with trash like Teague, Grant, Carsen, even PP is nothing to write home about defensively. His Basketball Ref Net Rating is off the charts amazing. His D-LEBRON is very good. His DBPM and D-RAPTOR, D-EPM are good.

He's a per-minute beast

Everyone is better than Thompson. At this point I have to assume he was signed as trade salary ballast or Ainge is completely braindead. If he isn't traded before his contract expires, then Ainge has lost it. Thompson has been terrible for every single season where he didn't play with LeBron, including his most recent four seasons, plus this one. Five terrible season in a row. It's no surprise he is currently terrible. The only people surprised are the ones who haven't watch him since 2015. He's a center who can't defend the rim or put the ball in the hoop. Hello? What sport is this?

Reasons (mainly bogus) Rob may soon appear to regress include:
-- He will be playing against better opponents (starters).
-- He's impactful enough that teams will think harder about how to counter him.
-- His offensive role playing with starters may produce less impressive numbers.
-- Responsibility and minutes may be piled on him until he tires.

His teammates have to find him better -- dumpoffs, on his roll, or lobs. He catches everything, covers so much ground, and gets back up quickly. Just draw his man a bit and he's wide open. Felt like he could've scored at least 10 more points in that Bucks game on simple passes his teammates missed.

A 5-5-5-5-2s game has only been done by a Celtics player 5x since 1983 -- Bird, Parish, Horford, Ellison, and Timelord, who did it in only 27 mins. Rob has the potential to complete the first 5x5 game by a Celtic in that span.

REALLY freaking hope that Brad keeps starting him. If he can’t see how much better Rob is than Tristan he shouldn’t be a coach.

Is it just me (having zero athletic bones in the body) or was this an absurdly insane play?? He has an utter disregard for all laws of Physics.

That for me is one of the most underrated aspects of his game. The guy has got wonderful hands for a big man. Watching him catch lobs is like watching an artist at work! The other thing good thing about too is that he very mobile with decent speed. These attribute increase his versatility as you can use him as a cutter and slip screen plays.

He took off quickly too.

I'm not kidding. If he ever develops a post game and the ability to score with the ball in his hand, he will be an all star.

Forget about Smart being our Draymond, it may be Rob. His vision continues to blow my mind.

Made this comment just now in the GT.

Smart is more Iggy than Dray.

In a league of elite athletes, he’s in that top tier.
