Fencer reregistered wrote:Assume that Kemba decides to come here. What do we need to do to keep Horford? My list is:

-- Agree with Horford about money.
-- Bribe Charlotte to do a sign-and-trade.
-- Bribe Kyrie's new team to do a sign-and-trade. (Any alternative way of assembling enough outgoing salary would be quite complex.)

Does that seem correct?

Give Anna Horford a full-time Boston media gig if she wants it.
I would also try and sign his college buddy Joakim Noah for the minimum.

The only person still on Kyrie's side is you, I'm afraid.

Almost everything coming out of insiders and reporters (ex. JackieMac, Woj) point to Kemba to Boston being a virtual lock. Plus we haven't heard any reports about him taking meetings from other teams.

Here's a contrary opinion:

Hmmm, I don’t understand why any free agent wants to hitch their wagon to KD tbh since he will be out for a year, but I guess if KD goes to the Knicks, maybe Kemba tries to go there? If Kawhi doesn’t go to the Lakers, maybe Kemba tries to go there? I don’t understand why else he would wait on them.

Do the Hornets have cap room or do they need a sign and trade?

So you are saying there's a chance we trade Rozier and filler for Kemba, then sign Horford to a stupid deal?

Kyrie is in legit trouble for the next couple years. If I’m Brooklyn and I would back out and re-sign DAR.

As former president of the kyrie come back by any means necessary fan club....allow me to tell kyrie to **** off. Let him rot in Brooklyn alone. May he fall off the end of his flat earth into obscurity

Idk I went to teh Shams twitter they cite as a source and don't see that hahaha

Doesn't mean Kemba is coming here even if it was true, just means he's leaving CHA.

Depends on what else they do (stretch, trade, renounce, etc.), I think they can clear up to $20M. But don't quote me on that.

It could be in his latest article on KD's free agency. It's behind a paywall.

What's the KD/Kawhi scenario that would affect where Kemba wants to go?

If they go to the Clippers or the Knicks, how would that affect him?

We don't have a big enough filler. Kyrie S&T would have to be involved. Multiple S&T's are fun. But also fantastical.

Idk DAR is half the player Irving is, but half the chemistry issues (only was a huge issue in 1/2 instead of 2/2 locker rooms he's been apart of as opposed to Irving), and half the injury issues.

That's a really tough call which one you go for here.

I will be ok. It is just sports. It is only meant for entertainment if that is what you choose to partake in. Whatever happens, will unfold on its own. People get too consumed, attached to sports and take it personal sometimes.

The only thing that matter that truly matters is life, and you live your life. I just ignore whatever that is being said about me. None of it matters.

He's a total zero offensively. Hard to see him getting minutes for CBS. Capela at least is a dynamic lob threat. A guy like Looney is comfortable enough with the ball to dribble hand-off and make basic high post passes.

Thank you for saying that. I was legit starting to wonder if all of this Celtics situation was affecting you personally. Very glad it isn't.

This. He burned all bridges with us the second Anthony Davis became a Laker. **** him.
