I moved to Uconn from Boston, still live here, and even got to know Kemba a little bit when he was here. Had the pleasure of playing with him a few times because my neighbor was the starting center for that title team.

I'm telling you guys, you'll love Kemba! Loyal dude, and shows love to the fans. Knows where he's from, and knows where he wants to be. Cardiac Kemba is my greatest sports moment with the exception of 2008, and Pierce getting his redemption, and tells you everything you need to know about Walker.

Driven, and WANTS the competition. Has no problem being the guy, but doesn't let his ego get in the way of other player.

My best moment in basketball came in 2010-12. My friends and I broke into Gamble, and we're playing 2v2, when Kemba came walking out. He asked security to escort us out, but when my friend on the team told him "naa this kid is money with that corner 3" Kemba didn't believe him, asked us to stay and play a 3v3 instead. I hit that corner 3 right in his eye, and having him give me daps after is still the greatest basketball moment of my life.

Not the greatest story, but just an insight into the man we just signed to a 141 mil contract. Boston will love him

You are saying his defense is bad?

Assuming you are a quality player, who would be offered a big contract in the top Greek or Latvian leagues, this seems to say K Walker is a bad defender.

Still an upgrade on Rozier, instead of covering the open shooter in the corner he ran to the paint to triple-team someone who never scores.

Lol @ anyone who thinks kemba won't help the team. Y'all must have forgotten what normal point guards can do for a team like ours. I try not to call out posters anymore but I've seen some dumbass **** this week.

He's a Walker. It's in his genes.

Good signing by the Celtics. He can create for himself and others. Not far off of Kyrie in terms of talent, but sure is much more mature with high motor and character. Ainge did his best given his situation.

SO happy we got an upgrade from Kyrie!

Danny is truely an amazing and THE BEST GM. Most can't pull this off and here he is with his nose in the fight getting us Kemba. Unbelievable really.

Can't wait to see what else is up his sleeve.

Beyond excited to get Kemba I didn't really have him pegged, but Danny knew something. What a great pivot.

Kemba's had some great games against us. Best of last year happened to be on Kyrie's birthday. Charlotte wins 117 to 124 a miserable display by the Celts. Kyrie had 26 with 8:04 in the third quarter goes on to score 31 for the game - he either wore down or disengaged, just as Kemba gets going. 7:49 left in the 4th and the Celtics are up 112 to 94 - how do they lose this game? Infuriating still to this day. Kemba goes off and Kyrie can't do **** about it. Kemba goes for 36 points, 11 rebounds, and 9 assists on Kyrie's birthday and then steals his job.

Danny still has some work to do, but I have to say he has been money with star free agent acquisition. Walker's contract will be one of the best in this market year. This team is real again and looking up.

Kemba’s older and not better than Kyrie. There’s no ‘fight’ for Kemba yet — if not for our $141 million he’d be left waiting for the dust to settle from Kawhi and KDs decisions, and no one knows how long those will take.

That said, obviously it’s a good save of a bad situation.

FUN FACT #1: In each of the last four seasons, there have only been five players who averaged 20+ ppg and 5+ apg while shooting at or above the league average* of 55.23% true shooting % -- Curry, Harden, Lebron, Lillard, and Kemba.

*TS% league average for past four seasons

FUN FACT #2: Kemba Walker has played the 2nd most games (behind Harden) and the 4th most minutes (behind Harden, Wiggins, George) in the last four seasons.

Read on Twitter

Then Kyrie had the audacity to question Brad's defensive scheme post-game. Guy just didn't want to put in the effort consistently and wanted things to come easy for him.

He will give you the same as Kyrie.

He replaces all what Kyrie does at the same level. Kyrie better, but Kemba gets to the line more and isn’t a EMO weirdo.

I am older, 42, and I have learned that in all aspects of business the most important consideration isn’t talent, though you need it, it is reliability. Talent is massive need, but I will take someone reliable who is very very good over an EMO genius.

Kyrie is just unreliable as a personality. He was good in Boston, then bad, was moody and weird. He has now been unhappy in 2 places where he won big and/or could win big.

Kemba plays everyday. Is massively productive and explosive, and can do all the things Kyrie can functionally. They are about equal, I will take the guy who is reliable, durable.

I can guarantee you this: Kemba will sign the Gosh Darn charity basketballs.

So what are the chances of a Celtics v Nets opening night or Christmas day clash?

Signing Kemba means we have to renounce Rozier and Morris right? That honestly might be the best part of the whole signing. Get the narcissist's out of town and build a humble and hard working team.
