This won't be an issue until the 2024 season. And Management will have found a solution by then.
And if you paid attention to all the posts on this board over the course of the most recent 6 months,
you'd know the salary cap ramifications, draft pick situation, and upcoming free agent situation as to why it will be that way.

Grant Williams is a wing in the NBA, not a big man. He's a younger version of P.J. Tucker. I'm not sure where the Celtics will find a second big man but Williams isn't that player.

Re: With Horford expiring, what's our future 'big' solution?
If they're at all serious about winning they'll pick up Horfords option and trade him. The answer is going to come from outside the current roster. The only internal solution that makes sense is moving Tatum to the 4 and replacing Horford in the starting lineup with someone like Beal.
The way the game is played currently you don't need an amazing all star big man at both the 4 and 5. You have Williams x2 and Theis. Grant is more of a "wing" but he's still able to play the 4.

Right now it looks like RW, GW and Theis.

I don't know if it's possible, but I would like a trade of Horford + picks for either Myles Turner, Issac + Ross, or Carter Jr + Ross. If none of those are options, maybe take a look at PJ Washington who should be gettable.

You don't think Grant Williams can play the 4 in the modern NBA? I strongly disagree.
He's a 'big' in the modern NBA IMO. Guards bigs, can rotate out, switch pick n roll. Shoots threes and spreads floor.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

I Agree with Robbie84.
Grant can actually guard all 5 positions for a stint. And shoots the 3, at a very good clip.
