Damnit!

Pelicans?? Zion can't shoot at all...let him dunk 4 or 5 times and how else is he going to score? Lonzo can't shoot, JJ Redick is like 36 years old, they not making the playoffs; Mavericks?? Luka cooled off a lot in the final two months of the season, KP is coming off of a torn ACL, Hardaway Jr. throws up more bricks than anybody in the league, they not making the playoffs; Spurs?? DeMarr is a head case who still wishes he was playing in Toronto with Lowry, Aldridge turns 35 this season so his stats could fall off a cliff, their PG is coming off of a torn ACL, Spurs in trouble. Utah will also be in trouble when both Rudy Gobert and lil Mike Conley each miss at least 25 games due to injury. Houston could also take a major step back with Harden turning 30 and CP3 damn near 35. Minnesota has no leadership whatso ever. Even with that childish D-Lo Golden State gonna struggle big time without Klay for most if not all of the season and with KD lone gone.

Please tell me more about how Zion wont impact NO, but Ja will impact Mem. Or about how Ja will have a bigger impact than Luka will. Or how youll be bettwr than Utah or Houston or Golden State.

Will be happy to....Ja will have the ball in his hands all the time while that 6'5" 300lb left tackle wit no jumper will need others to get him the ball. Ja is 6'3" with a 6'7" wingspan and a 41 inch vertical yet he's a pass first point guard with a very high basketball I.Q...when's the last time the league has seen anything like that before?? That 6'5" 300lb LT can jump yet there are only so many lobs a player can catch in a game.

I like Ja, but you guys are tanking for another top 3 pick.... and unless Ja and JJJ in the year after are all stars then you’ll be bottom 5-7 still.

You think Ja will be better than Conley in his rookie year? If the answer is no, you are a worse team than last year. If your answer is yes, well that’s extremely optimistic

Makes no sense for us to tank anymore. We're trying to create a winning culture for our young core. We have a good mixture of young players(Ja, Jaren, Grayson, Dillion Brooks, Josh Jackson, Brandon Clarke), guys in their prime(Kyle Anderson, Jae Crowder, Bruno, Jonas Valanciunas), and we have a seasoned vet like Andre Igudola. Bottom of the west will be wide open.

LOL...the myth of Mike Conley is strong. Lil Mike Conley has never averaged more than 6 assists per because he's not a good passer and doesn't make his teammates better yet he didn't average at least 18ppg until his 10th year in the league....10 damn years...lol. I'll say by his 20th game in the league Ja will already be better than lil Mike Conley...lol

More like the Nets picks that came in 1st and 3rd. We like to outsource our tanking and have other teams do it for us.

Quick reminder that we got that pick for JEFF GREEN, LmAOOOOooOoOooO. Not sure you needed that reminder, but you’re getting it anyway.

Starters:
PG- Ja Morant(ROY)
SG- Andre Iguodala(Vet who will play his ass off until traded in February)
SF- Jae Crowder(Solid vet who knows how to win)
PF- Jaren Jackson(Future face of the league)
C- Jonas Valanciunas(Solid vet who can score on the block and rebound)
Bench:
PG- Kyle Anderson(SloMo is an excellent ball handler and play maker)
SG- Dillion Brooks(Battled injuries last season yet was solid as a rookie)
SF- Josh Jackson(#4 overall pick two years ago just needs a change of scenery)
PF- Brandon Clarke(A lot of teams are gonna wish they didn't pass on him in this years draft)
C- Miles Plumlee(Solid vet good for 6 hard fouls)
Sleeper- Grayson Allen(played well later in the year for Utah)
We gonna surprise a lot of people this season.

Yall can have a pick that will likely fall between 10-15 next year...we don't care. We already have our two stars of the future in Ja and Jaren. I'll take Ja and Jaren over Tatum and Brown also.

Umm... yeah it does? It's top 6 protected so yes, you will be bad to secure another top pick to go with Ja & JJJ and then will try and win.

Josh Jackson is not a part of that young core btw, he's a headcase and will likely end up in jail or playing for China after this coming season.

I don't think you should really worry though, we stitched you up in that deal and handing over a top 5 pick isn't bad as long as you hit on Ja and another top 5 pick this year.

I'm just expecting to get the 8th pick at this point so I won't end up disappointed lol.

only the Hornets have a worse overall talent level. The rest of those teams should all be better unless they're actively trying to tank. MEM should absolutely tank like the Knicks did last year so they can ensure they at worst, get a top 6 pick by finishing with one of the two worst records. There's no logical reason not to. Next year's draft class is loaded. Even a late lottery pick might yield a franchise player and certainly a top 6 pick should. Assuming they do keep their pick, I expect a similar season as SAC had this past season with them making huge strides as their young players develop and the pick will be late lottery at best.

They'll be worse in 2019/20 but they'll keep their 2020 pick. Next season they'll have 2nd year Ja, 3rd year JJJ, a top 6 pick in a loaded draft, and the rest of their young guys another year developed. Which almost exactly mirrors what happened with SAC this season when they made their jump.

It's funny, if we made a list of the top 35 teams all-time among the Celts and Grizzlies, all of them would be Celtic teams. Have fun running your mouth anyways, though.

And thanks for the top 5 pick for a washed up slob role player. We'll be right here when your team never matters in any way, shape, or form, lmaoooooooo.

Barring some major moves, the Grizz will be a MUCH younger team next year than the Kings were this year. And far less deep. Hield, Barnes and Bogdanovich were all 26 years old. WCS was 25. Even Fox was 21. Also a better coach, as Grizzly fans can attest.

It makes complete sense to tank this year, get your pick and collect all the picks your going to get for taking on crappy contracts for everyone and then try and take that SAC step forward a year from now. I expect MEM roster to be a turnstile this year. For all the motivation the front office had to win last year to try and convey the pick the team has the same motivation to not win this year and hold on to it.

The team doesn't have to really do anything to not win games the make up of the roster loaded with vets on expiring contracts and rookies and second year players none of which has really played together is recipe enough especially in the Western Conference.

I don't think it ever makes sense to tank, especially since the best you can get now is a 14% chance at the No. 1 pick.
Ja Morant and JJJ are both good players, and you want them to experience winning.

Look at Phoenix. Booker and Ayton are good young players too (although Booker is selfish as hell), but the team is going nowhere. Rubio will help, but not enough.

Instead of tanking, teams like Memphis and Phoenix should shoot for 35 wins. That's the launch pad to become a playoff team.
