This Cleveland rumor is from a Cavs blogger who is throwing crap against the wall to see if anything sticks. The rumor belongs in the toilet with the rest of the crap. If Hayward gets traded it will be for something more than Thompson and Clarkson

Some Nets fans believe he'll be the 3rd banana when Durant is back.

Hahaha!!!
That's my feeling, though.

Smart is way above him, in reality.
Defense doesn't get much recognition in this league.

(PS.: They need to Add the 3 Best Defensive players to the All-Stars.)

Conrad at sportslogos.net says the new Celtics City jersey won't be gold, but thinks that people will like it. I'm kind of excited.

Smart has the best season of his career by far and drops 33 spots, ESPN doesn't even attempt to make sense

Hayward for a load-management-needed Griffin seems like a reasonable gamble to me.

Maybe ESPN thinks that smart will get less minutes this year and his numbers will go down, so they want to look smart by putting him down on their list now so if his numbers drop a bit they can seem smart to the majority of na fans who don't actually watch games.

Some Nets fans have also compared him to Harden and Jordan too.

I bet it's time for some unconfirmed, useless trivia!

This is the first time since 2012-13 (Rondo) that the Celtics have a player who was All-NBA the previous season. They had two such players in 2008-09 (Pierce, Garnett).

Thought this was a good read.

I broke my foot in June (fractured the 5th metatarsal), and have been out of the boot since early August. Been doing some physio and seeing some improvement but my foot still hurts and I'm still walking with a limp. Range of motion is ridiculously bad, and when I try to do the exercise of standing on one leg, I can barely last 45 seconds.

My injury was no where near as bad as Hayward's but man, even I'm wondering when will I be able to go for a jog again, nevermind being able to play ball. Moral of the story - I will cheer for Gordon Hayward moreso than I did last season, because he now becomes an inspiration to me.

Great read. I have never given up on GH after seeing that injury. How could you? I expect him to do great things. And if that doesn't equate to the level he was at when the Celtics signed him, well it won't be for lack of trying or work ethic. That's why it's pretty sad that those who criticize GH or the Celtics for the contract. Hindsight would be a fantastic sixth sense.

Larry Bird broke his ankle and he was shooting free throws the next day.

Everyone should look to Bird.

Celtics are not serious about winning? Although not serious about playing for picks, so it gets extra weird.

Joe Johnson, Vince Carter, getting signed while the Celtics take their time figuring out the wording for contracts to Kaiser Gates and Yante Maten.

The Pelicans now have an exception that would take the salary of seven Celtics. It isn't hard to find a roster spot, for the Celtics to use, without hurting the cap.

What Orlando are doing with Chuma Okeke, being very smart with keeping an extra roster spot. If the Celtics had thought of that idea, working with a player to join a year later after getting over injuries, Yabu would never had been in green.

at center, but instead Grant Williams. Williams would be surrounded by Kemba Walker, Brown, Gordon Hayward and Jayson Tatum.

If that lineup sees regular minutes, sell the team and move it to San Diego, again.

I think this is kind of implied if you're on this board.

Great read. Thanks for posting JB.

I know a lot of people have counted Hayward out. People seem to forget this was a big injury and can take up to a year and a half. Some people also forget his 2nd surgery after the initial one.

I’ve felt for months that Gordon will be close to being back to his all star form this season. I can see Hayward putting up 18,5 and 5 or a little better.

Kemba being here is going to him Hayward because Kemba is a good leader and is and encouraging teammate, unlike the last PG that was here last year.

Boston is going to surprise a lot of people around the league. And that all starts with the addition of Kemba, the improvements of Tatum and Hayward. Brown should also be better and Kantar is going to be a bigger addition that people think. Not to mention, Brad will return to being a top 3 coach again this season.

Hes a ball dominant wing who cant post volume stats on league average efficiency. When he’s not ball dominant he struggles to get in rhythm and his efficiency plummets cuz hes an ass shooter.

Its not going to work out for him in Brooklyn— they signed him to trade him this summer.

Its not really counting Hayward out (at least from me)— its more so that in order for us to become actual contenders long term, we need Tatum to eventually become our best player [and a top 10 guy overall]. If Hayward asserts himself over Tatum, thats a really bad sign for us going forward and puts us on a path to treadmilling hardcore.
