Yeah. Not much time to build chemistry. They definitely more talent than other teams but they've got to gel for it to show.

Giannis scares me looking at the big men we've got. Mason Plumblee and Brook Lopez...

Watching these highlights, Jaylen Brown is playing like he wants to intentionally get cut or something. He is playing with no effort at all.

tfw it's season three and Jayson Tatum, on the first possession in an actually televised game-like scenario, takes a step-back long two that misses the rim. Maybe he'll get the memo in year four.

Me: I hope this season, with diminished expectations, will make game threads more readable.

**reads this thread after team USA lost a scrimmage at the end of practice***

Me: ****, looks like I’m avoiding game threads again next season.

Any highlights of the scrimmage?
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

It was a meaningless scrimmage. Give it all the weight it deserves.

Brown and Tatum are busts. Kemba signing was a waste. Nets deal was won handily by King. Fire Danny. Also fire Brad. Season's over before it even begins. There's no recovering from this ... ever.

Each exhibition will be broadcasted on NBA TV and streamed live on fuboTV (try for free).
Team USA exhibition schedule
All times Eastern

Aug. 9: Team Blue 97, Team White 78 (Box Score)
Aug. 16: Team USA vs. Spain, 10 p.m.
Aug. 22: Team USA vs. Australia, 5:30 a.m.
Aug. 24: Team USA vs. Australia, 12 a.m.
Aug. 26: Team USA vs. Canada, 5:30 a.m.

Team USA World Cup schedule
Team USA is in Group E for pool play, along with the Czech Republic, Japan and Turkey. They will play each team one time, with the top-two teams in the group advancing to the second round. Times and broadcast info have yet to be announced.

Sept. 1: Team USA vs. Czech Republic
Sept. 3: Team USA vs. Turkey
Sept. 5: Team USA vs. Japan

Bumping this Schedule.

Cut down date is supposed to be, Aug 17. -- Down to the Final 12 Players.
I wonder if Marcus Smart makes it, even though he's injured?

12 Players seems to be a short team, for this kind of travel. No Injury/Illness Depth?
I'd like to see 15 players, knowing that 3 won't play.

Cut down date isnt til the end of August, I believe. Colangelo hinted he may take 15 to Australia in the past.

No way they can cut Smart now. This shot is very useful if USA is down 2 points with three seconds left on the clock of the championship game and Marcus slips with the ball midcourt.

Looks like Smart's back on the Practice Court.
But, may not play tomorrow.

I hope that all 4 Celtics make the final-12 cut.

What an embarrassment.

One of the best international games to watch was when Sofoklis Schortsanitis defeated Team USA all by himself.

This would seem to be going back to that time, although most of the other teams have crazy players refusing to play as well.

The excuses most of them come up with, laughable. "I want to spend time working on my game," and instead of playing basketball for their country they are seen at parties or on that TMZ leaving the parties.

Stockton played every game every season, and also had a couple of Olympics, but Marvin Bagley thinks Team USA is beneath him?

Serbia might be the best team?

Canada may have every NBA player except for Birch, and their injured Miami Heat center, boycotting the team?

If the preferred starting backcourt for the Celtics, Tatum and that new guy from Charlotte, are the starting backcourt for Team USA that will be helpful.

Nobody wants to watch Chucker Mitchell score 30 points on 40 shots.

Derrick White and Harrison Barnes, you have to wonder if someone is just playing a joke. Joe Harris was an unwanted free agent not long ago, now he is an integral part of Team USA?

The coaches are a joke, the roster is a joke.

Tatum and Celtics, Lopez, Turner, they are not a joke.
