Maybe someone finally convinced Ainge to let go of Tacko Fall for 5 future unprotected 1sts.

Ainge is quietly building a conference superpower.

Yante Maten isn't actually signed.
I don't see him on the Roster lists.

Like I said in the other Thread.:
I think that Javonte Green is the odd man out.
He's the only one who can't go the Maine Red Claws, as an Affiliate, due to his $100,000 Partial Guarantee.
We have to be keeping Yante Maten on the Training Camp Roster, just for the PF Depth.

Chaos continues.
Rulebook - "You may have 15 players on the roster."
Ainge Cartel - "Let's have 16 players."
Rulebook -"You may have 20 training camp players."
Ainge Cartel - "We should announce 21 players for training camp, maybe more."
Logic - "There are 48 shooting guard minutes a game."
Ainge Cartel - "We shall build the team with shooting guards Tatum, Hayward, Langford, Brown #1, Smart, Edwards, Struss, Green, Brown #2."
It would be funny if it was another team.
Bryce Brown could be quite good, if the Celtics had a sensible roster.
Like Carsen Edwards, B Brown is unplayable next to Kemba.
Bryce Brown hits over 80% of his free throws?
Now you know why he won't get any preseason playing time, he would embarrass all the Celtics they do play at shooting guard.

Ridiculous. Tatum is no shooting guard. A lot of those other guys are more 1 or 3. By my estimation Smart and Edwards are a great backup backcourt pairing, while Kemba and Brown of course are the starters. Hayward and Tatum the starting 3 and 4 respectively. Struss is a two-way at best, Green doesn't make the team at all, nor of course does the Red Claw Brown.
Jaylen will likely improve his FT%, Langford is a young, deep-bench wing who likely will as well, and the rest of the C's backcourt and wing players are very good FT shooters.

Being purely oppositional is a bad look.
But then again, I also think shoulder-length hair is a bad a look on a goofy 7-footer, so what do I know.

I believe Bryce Brown was just waived. He's still eligible for the 50K bonus if he goes to the D-league for 60 days. Ainge is taking advantage of a loophole in the Exhibit 10 rules to stock up on potential Red Claws players. He can waive guys, then add guys, then waive a few more, etc. so long as he doesn't have more than 20 at one time.
And it's actually a loophole that benefits the NBA as well. More fringe players make more money, and D-league rosters get stronger, because there are additional incentives for players to stay under NBA control as opposed to signing overseas.

Yeah you're right B. Brown and Bohannon were waived yesterday. Bohannon was already on the Red Claws last year.
Not sure if Red Claws are bringing him back as a Returning Player, or as an Affiliate.
Danny's playing Ring-Around-The-Rosey with those fringe G-league players, though.

So long Bruce Bowen. It was a valiant comeback attempt.
