Off the top of my head, Harden got traded to the Rockets like a week before the season started.

But yes it's very rare for a major trade to happen in this time period.

I haven't seen a few of the player interviews like Tatum, but everyone seems very humble. While I do miss the uber positive Avery Bradley camp comments about wanting to win a title every year, I think the team has a good mindset going into the season.

Pretty big cliff drop in terms of expectations.

I'm actually slightly more interested in this season.

Besides Kemba, Hayward, and Kanter, every single player on this team has never played an NBA game for another franchise. That has to make us the least mercenary team in the league.

Yes. Guy does a lot for people. Has a big mouth on social media. But glad to have him here.

It has always seemed a little sttange to me that such wealthy athletes usually charge to show up in the summer and talk to a bunch of basketball youth for a couple of hours, though I realize the tradition goes back well before the players were all multimillionaires.

Fans and players are taking it easier this year. No lofty expectations, no internal issues, just getting down to business.

During the interviews, they asked too much about FIBA. Not really Amanda, more the other media. I felt they could have had better questions pertaining to the upcoming season.
