I think they're in tank mode after Blake Griffin ended his career right?

Should be an easy one where we can appreciate Derrick Rose's gifts.

Random Stats by NOT Sean Grande or Dick Lipe:

• Kemba is averaging 21.7 ppg, 5.1 apg, and 58.7% TS%. If maintained, he'd be the 4th straight Celtics starting PG to hit 21+ ppg, 5+ apg on 58%+ TS%. Larry Bird did it four times in the 80s.
• Jaylen leads the team in FT attempts at 4.4 per game. He's shooting FTs at a career-high 78.1%. He's never shot above 70% for a full season in his career.
• Gordon Hayward is making 82.4% of his shots within 3 feet of the rim. LOL not a typo.
• Tatum is 2nd behind Lebron among non-Bucks players in +/- at +278. He's improved his FG% every month since October.
• Enes Kanter is tied for 6th in +/- among bench players. Grant Williams is 8th.
• Enes and Grant combo has a net rating of +22.5 (100th percentile), offensive rating of 126.9 (100th percentile), and opponent eFG% of 49.0% (93rd percentile).
• Vincent Poirier is the ONLY rookie in the league who hasn't lost in his first 10 games. Grant, Carsen, and Romeo have each lost one.

Let's win another one for Vinnie SexPants. If he loses, we all lose. GO CELTICS!

After all these years, i still can't decide if i like Drummond.
There are times where i think that on a different team he would be the ideal big.
And then, i take a look on his last 5 mins on the floor in the regular time against the pelicans. He gets subbed and the pistons take the game to OT. Very weird case of player.

This will be an easy win. Pistons are bad.
Messi. Jordan. Ali. Bolt. Senna. Serena. Karelin. Phelps. Rossi. Suleymanoglou. The GOATs.

Pelicans - kicked ass
Bulls - kicked ass
Bottom feeding Pistons - TCOB, kick ass, get rest, then **** the Bucks (rhymes).

Leftover: Marcus Smart is #1 in assist-to-turnover ratio among 154 players averaging at least 25 minutes per game.

Drummond won't be on the Celtics, but if he was, Brad Stevens would optimize his strengths. The Pistons seem to highlight his flaws.

Sit Tatum, Kemba and Brown for Thursday.

Call up Waters as starting PG, give GW some serious burn and confidence back. In addition, Romeo is back to pick up wing minutes

This used to be Jose Calederon's world. 4 to 1 ass:turn ratios.

Weird year for Smart. Near career high in assists and tied for career low in turnovers.

Career high in field goals attempted per game.

His TS% has dropped massively from 56.8% last year to 50.9% this season.

Having his career worst year in free throw rate. Career worst total rebound percentage. About average year in usage percentage.

Just a really strange season for him.

This is closer to his role moving forward. Rebounding, FT rate, and usage drop impacted by rise in responsibilities of the Jays, getting back healthier Hayward, and addition of Kanter. His shooting has always been erratic.

Just rest Tatum and get him ready for the Bucks game.

Yeah seriously we need to "load manage" 4-5 players for Thursday.

Coach Pop would take the easy W with everyone playing vs Pistons, then load manage the studs against the Bucks.

That would also be a sort of rope-a-dope. Let them get over-confident; then smash them in the later rounds (of the playoffs). :D

Bucks game is the only road game sandwiched between six home games. If say, they rest Kemba, Tatum, and Hayward against Milwaukee, they don't even need to travel. Just stay back in Boston and wait for the game vs. the Suns.

Sam in the Bulls VC thread:
“When the team is playing really well, Gordon does too.
I’d like to see him step up and make something happen some time soon when the team isn’t playing well.”

I could not agree with this more.
For example, if we load manage JT (+ maybe another core player) VS the awful Pistons tomorrow in preparation for the Bucks on Thursday, the Pistons game would be a perfect time for Gordon to ball out - not just by elite facilitating but by being the main man carrying the team.
