No excuses.
None.

Come out FROM THE GODDAM MOTHER **** TIP & dominate.
Show us that you learned a lesson from our recent scum sucking putrid play.

Or I am going to stop watching the games.
(That should scare them, right? LOL.)

Gordon Hayward gonna be hyped for the game. His idol, Eminem, just dropped an album today.

This game marks the end of the first half of the season for us. With a win we are 28-13, and if we finish the second half the same it puts us at 56-26. Lately it we are trending in the wrong direction, so it would seem unlikely to me that we hit that mark unless we start playing better and/or we make some moves by the deadline.

Time to see if this team has enough to make a run come playoffs. Give me more defense, better ball movement, a bench scorer, and health (TimeLord where you at?) and I think we can look a lot better than we have lately.

Let’s start by winning this game.

For those who want Smart starting over Hayward:

Kemba-Smart-Brown-Tatum-Theis net rating: +3.4
Kemba-Brown-Hayward-Tatum-Theis net rating: +13.4

FYI Oubre might miss this game, he's battling a concussion right now.

Hayward is only outperformed by Smart when Kanter is starting.

Lineup stats also indicate that the bench plays way better when Tatum plays with them.

They will beat the suns but they will probably lose to the lakes.

I guess there is where I am with the team: They are a good team but not in the same tier as the Lakers, Bucks, sixers, Lakers and Clippers. They lose to those teams I get it.

When they lose or struggle to beat teams below them it makes it's extremely tough to get excited for the games which is a shame because the first month of the season was great. Now I feel like I am watching last years teams minus Irvings drama, well since the start of the new year anyway.

It's not even that Lakers, bucks, clippers 76ers are better teams. The 76ers are not. We just have (for the 9th year...) lacking at C, and have to deal with the derelict theis-Kanter duo

I'll grant the Sixers, but Celtics have beaten the Bucks and have gone to OT against the Clippers, and could have won if not for some referee tom **** at the end on a Jaylen Brown blocking foul. So the Celtics lost three times on the second night of a B2B (twice to Sixers, once to Bucks) now. Haven't played the Lakers yet, but without looking I'm sure the next one will be on the second night of a B2B, as is customary.

One big concern for tomorrow is how we guard Ayton.

Last year he torched us after Baynes broke his hand in the middle of the game.

Kanter matches up fine with bigs like Ayton. Like he did last night against the bucks. He's not good against ultra athletic rim runners and good ball handling pgs in the pick and roll.

Isn't that literally what the Suns do with Booker/Rubio and Ayton? Ayton is the freakest athlete in the NBA maybe. He's a faster Embiid.

I'm not worried about alley oops to Ayton. HE's not the human pogo stick big that gives Kanter the biggest fits. Kanter isn't bad when the guy is in front of him with the ball, he's not great, but he's not bad. He just can't do anything if he has to move with him.

Rubio is a problem, but usually he can't shoot and you can let the pg go under the screen.

Ayton is potentially the most athletic player in the NBA. He touches the top of the square without a sweat.

Also not worried because Celtics win every other position with ease anyway. If some team wants to win the center battle, I wish them luck on their quest for 38 wins.

With Gordon and Rob healthy through the season, they might be competitive. But we don't have assurance of either at this point and Rob is obviously missing a much-needed season of seasoning, too.

I want to see Tatum play with some BDE after finding out he is the 4th highest selling jersey in the NBA.

Here are our net ratings by quarter: 1st quarter = 0.8; 2nd quarter = 6.8; 3rd quarter = 11.0; 4th quarter = 6.7. These stats reinforce what we already know: we are flat out terrible at the start of games, and we're a bit shaky in closing them out. By the way, we also rank 22nd (!) in first quarter offense as opposed to 3rd in the 4th quarter. Obviously we need to get off to better starts, particularly on offense. We can recover in the second half against weak teams, but not strong ones. Bucks were just the most recent case in point. Now how we do that is a question Brad needs to answer pronto. Kicking ass seems like one option, but not one he seems capable of. That leaves changing the starting lineup.
