Zoya, if you do it, thanks & please insert the correct dates - please do not use your Pacific Rim displays. Thanks.

I found the Heat Schedule.
You'll have to do the Stacking of Schedules, yourself though.

Thanks.

I will come up with something after the game.

UPDATE

Much needed fortunate win tonight VS Pacers on the road w JT/GH awesome.
Almost blew big Q4 lead again.
Need to shape the **** up - see my VC post.

Raps 46-18

Celtics 43-21

Heat 41-23

Sixers 39-26
Pacers 38-26

3 L behind Raps.

ONLY 2 L ahead of Heat!!!

5 L ahead of Sixers & Pacers.

Below is a summary of the 18 games remaining for the Celtics, Raps & Heat.

1. The Celtics & Raps have similarly difficult schedules. It will take an enormous effort to catch them. We play them once H2H on Fri 3/20 in Toronto.

2. The Heat have a clearly easier schedule than we do - 2 less games VS PO teams BUT 2 MORE games VS teams over 0.500, 1 more home game, & 1 less B2B. Our 2 H2H games VS the Heat in April will likely determine if we hold them off!

3. If we finish 2, we play the Magic or Nets in Round 1. Then the Raps & the Bucks.
4. If we finish 3, we want the Pacers (not the Sixers) to finish 6. Then the Raps & the Bucks.
5. If we unfortunately finish 4, we want the Pacers (not the Sixers) to finish 5.
Then the Bucks in Round 2 - Ugh!

1st column is Toronto's remaining schedule -- 9 home, 9 away; 3 B2Bs; 8 teams above .500. Current record: 46-18
2nd column is Boston's remaining schedule -- 9 home, 9 away; 3 B2Bs; 6 teams above .500. Current record: 43-21
3rd column is Miami's remaining schedule -- 10 home, 8 away; 2 B2Bs; 8 teams above .500. Current record: 41-23

Game in Toronto is a can't-lose proposition at this point if we still want the 2-seed. Then we'll just have to make up 2 games. Can we go 16-2 the rest of the way? It sounds too optimistic but might be necessary to tie Toronto in the standings.

Raptors would have to go on an unexpected slump for us to overtake them imo. They've had the best NBA record in the last 18 games with 14-4. If they replicate that in their final 18 games, we have to go 17-1 or better with the lone loss NOT to Toronto.

tl;dr: All remaining games are must-win for us lol.

Our main goals for the final 18 games should be getting/staying healthy, solidifying our playoff rotation, getting them more reps, working out the kinks in our offense, and getting/staying healthy. Our choice of seeding might have gone out the window with our recent slide so we just want to establish rhythm and momentum heading into the postseason.

Thanks Zoya.
Great supplement to my long post last night.

Quick Thoughts:

Gordon playing his best ball of the season & playing much more AGGRESSIVELY as well!
JT was all world in 2/2020 & needs to continue to adjust to doubles.
JB hopefully comes back very soon healthy, refreshed, active & vital.

Kemba is a huge huge huge HUGE issue - we are going nowhere if he does not resurrect himself soon - his play has been a freaking liability of late - is it only the knee?

Marcus as always needs to play primarily as a defensive stalwart & skilled offensive distributor - minimizing his FGAs. Heart of the team. Invaluable intangibles.

Theis has simply been spectacular.

In dental chair - back later - Celtics oorah!

if the Celtics wanted to go deep in the playoffs they needed to get the second seed. Well that ship has sailed and you guys can come up with your on conclusions what will happen if the Celtics play the bucks or raptors in the second round.

Of course if they end up with the sixers in the first round, which at this point is a very real possibility, they may not even live to see the second round.

If by now, we're still trying to dodge certain teams to make it deep in the playoffs, we have no business being in the playoffs.

Here's a FUN FACT...

The Boston Celtics have beaten the most teams at least once this regular season. They beat 28 teams at least once. The only team they weren't able to beat was the Houston Rockets (0-2).

Three other teams beat 27 teams -- Rockets (0-1 vs. MIL, 0-1 vs. DET); Lakers (0-1 vs. TOR, 0-1 vs. IND); Nuggets (0-0 vs. CHI, 0-2 vs. CLE).

If the NBA decides to just play out the original schedule until everyone gets to 70 games...

Image

CELTICS schedule: MIL, WAS, CHI, NYK, TOR, BKN
RAPTORS schedule: DET, GSW, PHI, BOS, DEN, LAL
HEAT schedule: NYK, CHI, MIL, CHI, IND
PACERS schedule: PHI, GSW, MIA, CLE, PHX
SIXERS schedule: IND, WAS, TOR, CHA, ATL

To get 2nd seed, we have to go 5-1 including win over TOR, who needs to win no more than 2 of their remaining games.

If we stay as 3rd seed, I think whoever loses the IND vs. PHI game will be our 1st round opponent.

Looks like it's going to be 3rd Seed. = I can't see Toronto losing 4 of their last 6.
1st Round against Sixers or Pacers. -- And basically, there's No Homecourt Advantage, Throughout.

Team Shamrock is used to those close Quarters, from the FIBA Games.

C's need to go 7-1 or better including winning game against TOR if Raps go 4-4.

Theoretically, we can watch all of the Raptors and Celtics games. Only day that overlaps is our game against each other and August 9th (different game time).

Looks likely Philly will pass Indy in the standings based on their schedule. If Celtics go 6-2 and better while beating TOR they could have a chance to pass the Raptors but not sure if they’ll push to do that.

Most likely scenario looks like BOS as 3 and IND as 6

All other things being equal, we do have a more favorable schedule than TOR. Three games is quite a lot of ground to catch though in just 8 games. We'll see. If I had to wish for anything, HEALTH over seeding and everything else would be my priority.

About 10 years ago (actually 2/8/2020 through early 3/2020), I thought this thread I began & regularly updated was meaningful & fun.
If the virus does not continue to re-explode all over Florida in the next month permanently ending the season, maybe we get to use it again for 2 weeks/8 games.
Too hard to catch the Raps, & Sixers will move up.
It will be Celtics 3 VS Pacers 6.

PS Thanks for bumping it, CG.

However you slice it, the chances are very good that the Celtics will have to beat two decent teams (Philly or Indiana plus Toronto) to get to an EC final against Milwaukee.
