Glancing at his numbers, it looks like he faltered in the playoffs.

I was apparently glancing at his 16-17 playoff stats, my bad.

Yes, I see he led the Euroleague in points per game (22.2), 3 pt % (50.9%), and TS% (.729). Basically, he has become the Euro Steph Curry. Nice to see him doing well for himself.

I wouldn't be surprised if his injuries sealed his departure and he wasn't asked to come back. It seemed like he was injured too often when he was needed
Brad Stevens on fans who want the Celtics to tank: "I don’t think they’ll like me all that much then."

No, you've haven't. And neither did Shane Larkin have an historic Euroleague season.

I'll always like Shane Larkin, just like I'll always like God shamgod. Fringe players that if giving the right chances could have decent careers. I guess I'll put bailey in there too. Although with bailey I still don't get it.

Thank god we signed Wanamaker to take his roster spot - he was SO good in the Euroleague!

awesome stuff. if he can actually shoot the 3 now, he's a totally different player. he looked like euroleague steph in the highlights lol.

wouldn't mind bringing him back to replace wanamaker. i expect brad will get a too-rich offer and leave.

Awesome highlights, he seems to be in groove.
Good assessment:

This board criticized Larkin in '17-'18 even harder than it has Wanamaker in '18-'20. The grass is always greener.

In general, we seem to just have really, really unrealistic expectations of our third-stringers.

Wouldn't mind Larkin back at all next year. Familiar with the organization, and still only 27, so some improvement these last couple of years was totally reasonable.

I remember watching him in a euroleague game one time, and he got fouled to go to the line for three free throws with basically no time left. He either had to hit all three to tie, or to win - can't remember.

What I do remember is that he walked up, took all three very quickly, with minimal dribbling/theatrics, and drained all three. His body language just screamed "ice water", like there was no thought in his mind whatsoever he would miss. Really made an impression on me.

Limited though he may be, I like that kind of mental toughness.
