He was better than the Jays. He was hesitant taking 3s though, which tends to be an indicator of his confidence.

How many real open 3s did he get tho? I think Hayward won’t force any bad shots bc he’s also trying to find a better one. Pull up 3s really aren’t a part of his game much anymore except for the top of the key slight step back he does every now and again.
He’s more of a corner/wing catch and shoot 3 guy now and I didn’t see him get a lot of this looks tonight but perhaps I’m wrong.

I think his role now is to facilitate the offense, dribble in to pull in the defenders and then pass out for a 3 or look for a baseline cut or backdoor lay up. If that’s not there he uses the screener to shoot his midrange foul line j

Yeah, while I enjoy the pettiness, I'm gonna agree with you. Smart and Jaylen just look like salty a-holes right now, as compared to Giannis who kept it classy when told of Smart's comments. I feel this is gonna backfire on us and they'll whup our asses next time.

Tatum needs to come out with an eff you game against the Blazers. That game scares me, Lillard and McCollum look desperate to get to the playoffs and will be shooting their way back in there. We've got to match their desperation and stop with the goddamn slow starts, which is just inexcusable at this point. I don't care if we've had a 4-month layoff, this issue has been there all year long.

I can't blame this on the refs. Bucks are just the better team. Bad calls, sure. Ken Mauer is garbage. But you gotta make things happen! Drive to the hoop. Get to the line. Play physical, tough. Get back on defense and switch onto your man quickly. This team is still young and hopefully wakes up to how if you're not willing to match toughness, you're not winning anything.

It’s ultimately a pretty meaningless game but my main takeaway is that Kemba looks great! He has his burst back and was hitting his usual pull up threes. They just need him off minutes restriction by the playoffs.

And, Kemba playing 19 mins and Tatum going 1-17 and it’s a tie game with 90 secs left. I’m very encouraged. If I were the Bucks I’d be pretty disappointed after watching tonight honestly. Bucks are better team and were missing Bledsoe but if Tatum doesn’t have worst game of his career they lose...

We actually acknowledge it was probably the correct call but it’s also very tough to overturn that (unless you’re a star who would have fouled out). It should have never happened however since he would’ve been on the bench if they called his clear foul on Theis. That’s the gag. They reviewed for a “hostile act” but couldn’t dare give Giannis a 6th foul when the game was tied with 2 mins left...

maybe they should have called Marcus Smart for hooking his arm around Giannis to draw an over the back call, but they never reviewed that to catch it

Same old story with Tatum. Only good a spot up shots and when his shots aren’t falling it looks ugly. Cant finish and makes all his drives so difficult. Whines when he doesn’t get the call.
Celtics can only come back when Bucks have a flat period.

Jayson needs to step up his game. I don’t know if talks of superstardom during the locdown has gotten to his head, and he feels the pressure to perform. He should be the best player on the floor, especially since guys like Luka are getting triple doubles.

Are you joking? That wasnt a hook a dude Giannis' size jumps on your back its the natural motion to brace for the fall. GTFO

Last thing I’ll say about this game: Tatum needs to take at least 8 3’s against this team. His great weapon is his pull up 3... can’t only take 4 against a team that is relatively content to give those up

Like I always say you put yourself in a position to let the refs decide the game this is what happens.

Since +/- is. Big deal on here every starter had a negative +/- which tells me the only players that did well was Smart, Wanamaker (team best +9) and Williams.

Maybe more Wanamaker, Smart and Williams and less Walker, Tatum, brown and Hayward would have equaled a win last night?

Bucks on the other had every starter with a positive +/-

Joe, SMMFH.
That stat must always be interpreted with a grain of salt.
GH, MS & Kemba played very well.

Just finished watching the game. Seems silly to me that a guy with the word "Equality" on his back gets to commit around 15 fouls in a game and not get booted. Tatum had a terrible night- it happens. Walker didn't look bad or hurt so thats a win. Smart is just such a good player- I wonder if come playoffs vs the Bucks if we can have him stay on the greek freak and fight through screens. He's about the only guy who can slow him up.

I think to some level Smart knew its not a playoff game. Watch the play near the end where he is guarding GA, he is right up on him when he doesn't have the ball. I bet he is considering getting locked up, trying to force the refs to make a call. But maybe there jut wasn't enough time or he didn't want a brawl starting in a meaningless game. Point being I think if it happens again in the playoffs Smart could have really went Rodman on him.

So are we just going to ignore that Middleton shot like utter crap while missing Pat Connaughton as well?

Bro, your commentators said 3 times that Giannis got away with a bit. Tell me honestly, does or doesn't Giannis get away with A LOT? On the Smart foul, Giannis actually pushed Smart in the back when he was in the air, if we are talking about the same situation.

Well, Bucks' commentators said 3 times Giannis got away with a little bit... That foul when he was shooting a fall back and nobody touched him and he fell- the refs said it was a foul on Brown, the commentators said there's no foul.  Semi does pretty well on Giannis, Giannis always tries to switch away from him, cause he can't bully him and Semi is quick enough to move with him.

Hayward and Kemba looked good. Kemba, Hayward, Smart and Wannamaker + Theis was probably our best lineup. Jaylen did decent, too.

Pretty rich for Bud to say this. Has he watched the Lopez twins??? Didn't realize those two were such flop artists. There was one where Middleton cut between Lopez and Theis, hit Lopez, and Theis was called for an offensive foul lol.

He hit Theis with an open palm, regardless of whether it was hard or not, it was a foul. One of the reasons I hate watching Giannis, his game is so rugged. It's pushing, shoving and playing on the break. I should probably enjoy him cause he's dominant(different in the 3 point era I mean), but I legit have a tough time watching him play ball.
