So there have been rumors circulating that the NBA is actually back and that the Celtics are playing an honest-to-goodness game this Friday (Saturday morning for me and our Aussie friends). **** you, COVID, go away, we're sick of you!

I don't care much about the final score in this one. Just want to see us compete the way we know how. Go Cs!

I feel as if Kemba, Hayward and Brown will be key any time we play the Bucks. Middleton will be guarding Tatum.

Kemba might still be rusty when in shape tho I feel as if he can abuse Bledsoe.
I don't see anybody being able to stop Hayward on that Bucks team and I don't feel like the Bucks will put Middleton on Gordon.
Brown will also have an easy match up.

Hopefully we play well on defense, just defend the 3 point line. Giannis will brute force and get his. Minimize the other guys and especially Middleton if possible, cause he's been shooting like .500 from 3 against us.

Real Basketball in July? What is next? Eating Chili for dinner then sitting on your back porch on a warm summers night drinking a tall glass of eggnog? I don't know what is what anymore.

I don’t care if we win or lose this game. Let’s just find a way to defend Giannis. I hope Stevens try all the combination against him. We need a legit big inside everytime against Giannis. Theis definitely is too small to guard him. I hope we try a combo of R.will/Theis, Kanter/Theis, or even a R.Will/Kanter against Giannis. Just try every combo.

What about the other end of the court now where Giannis can just roam free and use his wingspan to disrupt passing lanes/shots since we have no element of spacing with these lineups? Giannis is a great player. He's going to get his. Can't put out a lineup specifically designed to slow him down if it means we have a crap-tastic team out there in other ways. Game is played on both ends and with multiple matchups on each side. The matchup of guarding Giannis isn't one we're going to win. You just have to try and not lose it by as much but can't willingly throw away other matchups to do that.

I predict a severe overreaction to the result of this game regardless of the outcome.

Let’s Go Celtics!!

The Celtics ain’t ready yet. They’ve looked awful in all 3 games so far.

Feels like neither team has much to play for. Bucks have the 1 seed on lock and Celtics have the 3 seed on lock barring craziness. Just don't get injured and I'm happy.

This. The starters needed to play and get more up to speed in the last game, but they sat. Bad decision to rest them. I expect a loss here, but would love to be proven wrong. Either way, good to have them back for real. :cuddle

They won't have the TD Garden crowd behind them so if we dig ourselves an early hole, it might be difficult to come out of it. Hope the team's "energy raisers" are up to the task. We were down by as much as 19 points and 16 at the half. This run was special. Pierce was super pumped on the sideline. We didn't even have Jaylen in this one.

Nah i disagree. Two bigs with Smart, Brown and Tatum, is the best defensive lineup we could throw against giannis, whilst not sacrificing our offense at all. Smart, brown and tatum are all good at defensive switching and help. I have watched Giannis missed a lot of shot and rebounding his own miss several times. Even put back dunks on his own miss. The key is stopping Giannis inside, and if he misses, we should contain the rebound. We’re not doing that if your tallest man on the court is Theis. At least with a two big combo, we could somehow contain the defensive boards, and clog the paint. Let Giannis take the outside shot. Who cares if he makes half of them at some games. Odds are, he’ll miss most. Small ball won’t work against them, unless we shoot lights out from outside.

This will be a fun one.

Want the C's to win, on the other hand, I'm curious how the Bucks look. A part of me wants to see Giannis cap off the historic season he had.

Tbf, nobody on the roster should play more than 25 minutes in these 8 games. We have nothing to play for now that HC doesn't exist. Would love to see us test line ups and different combinations.. Try Edwards and Langford with the main guys instead of the all bench line ups.. Plenty to play around with in these games if you're Brad.
