So this is the team we have no chance of beating?

East is wide open. We had such a legit shot at the finals with a healthy Hayward. Ffs, so unlucky.
A new dawn will rise in Boston. ‎#StayLoyal THANK YOU TRUTH!

Yup. '17-'18 was too early, but it's time for Tatum and Brown to stake their claim.

I'd give anything for the Tatum/Lebron showdown. Can't wait to see if the Prince can finally dethrone the "King".

I want to believe. But what I end up believing is that:
Jays are awesome.
Smart & Kemba alternate very effective games.
One of the centers scores double figures every other game.
And????

Even more than before it's just going to boil down to hitting shots. If we're hot from 3, we can win any game. If not, it's going to be pretty hard to score when one of the Jays is sitting. Unless Kemba time-machines.

Anyone who thinks Middleton is better than Tatum needs their ass beat. No way this guy would have great numbers without Giannis having all the attention on him.

It's a weak season. No Dubs, no KD, no homecourt. And I simply believe that JT has become that dude. We will miss Hayward's play making and versatile defense, but if we're good enough to still be going by the time he gets back...

Hats off to the Magic. Very few expected them to even win one against the Bucks. Stay hungry, boys! Maybe you can steal another... and another...

This is what I'm thinking. The current Jays may not have been enough in a strong year, but this isn't the strongest year. TOR, MIL, and MIA are very good, but I"m not "frightened" by anyone in the East.

If Tatum and Brown can see that this is their opportunity to stake their claim, and step it up just a little bit on the biggest stage, we could very well have one more date with Lebron for old time's sake.

I'm with you on JT, but that dude still needs some help. JB is legit all-star level in the restart/game 1.

It's just the rest is so lacking. Kemba isn't whole. Smart even seems a little off since the reset, but hopefully he'll step up.
Theis is really solid, but even with Gordon the offense suffered from Philly Rondoing him.
Kanter can sometimes score more than he gives up.
Wanamaker is solid.

Marcus Smart was the Victory Cigar winner of the greatest upset in NBA playoff history*. Sounds about right.

Plus we really needed at least 1 passable wing off the bench and a shooter off the bench. With Gordo out wing depth and shooting depth is magnified.

the bucks as disoriented as they have looked in the bubble and today are still the favorites in the east and will run over the magic accordingly. Don’t fall for the okie Doke. It’s 1 game. imo they’ll be fine in the long rhn
