Just painful to watch. We wait way too long to do anything and can't punish them when they help since there's no time left.

At this point I’m just **** done with Kemba. I don’t give a **** how much he smiles when he’s sucked for like 7 straight games now.

Sigh.

hey man, no Jaylen slander unless coming from me. But yeah, all-star level players don't just sit behind the 3pt line in the corner. And that's all he's really good for on the offensive end beyond the occasional mismatch and hustle play. He's just filling the role Crowder and Morris used to have. He either hits wide open threes or he doesn't. If he doesn't, he essentially useless on offense. If he was truly as great as people think he is on here he'd be initiating the offense, running through screens and posting up all game. But that's a broken record.

That said, he did have two of the bigger plays of the end of the game with that tip in and the other offensive rebound. So kudos for those hustle plays because he did his part in crunch time but Brad didn't do his with that atrocious coaching. But we need more than wide open threes an a couple hustle plays from this supposed borderline all-star if we plan on winning

Kemba is so predictable on offense. He never NEVER goes left on his drives. How tf do we let herro and butler with two straight 3’s in the end of regualtion. I’m sick of our iso plays at the end. Nobody on our team cuts to the basket. Everyone is at the 3pt line. We had a big lead in the 4th and we blew it. Sucks!

Not as bad the game 5 to raps. No idea what we were doing on offense in the fourth. Kemba was over penetrating every single damn time .

He can’t go 6-19. He was better late, and made a big shot, but man. Gotta be better than that.

He took 5 shots in the second half, and one of them was an offensive tip. He just gets parked in the corner while Tatum and Kemba go iso.

More than two. Tatum's airball was around the 2:00 mark, for example.

As great as Tatum was for the first 46 minutes, he was thoroughly ineffective for the last 7.

Smart drawing the foul at the end of regulation was a good play. Too bad it was wasted.

All I know is wasting the clock to not by Crowder and settling for a 26 footer is idiotic.. If Tatum tried to drive and dunk in regulation maybe they win. He let them off the hook.

We could have had an unreal play to end it in regulation had Brad called an unreal play.

Like what? They had the ball in the hands of a guy who can get his shot over anyone and he took the potential GW shot as time expired. It was a makeable shot.

You take the highest percentage shots to win games on last possessions when you're tied. You should only think about deep threes when you're down three, or maybe if you're down 2 and can't get anything inside. You have to always look inside first in that situation. We just stood there and let them set their defense as we wound down clock and chucked it. That shot was too deep, even for Tatum. No way he hits shots from there at a better clip than closer to the line.

Theis is clearly not going to earn the respect of the refs and by default we can not win this series without production from Kemba.

This team has lost almost every single close game it's played so far and most of them we beat ourselves with dumb, dumb decisions.

What was the free throw difference in the 4th though? Laughable.

Btw Jaylen Brown would be a superstar with Spo. Dude is criminally under used by this soft ass coach.

This is exactly what is so infuriating with this team. They stop either of those threes they win.

This team couldn't stop a guy from hitting a three with a cross court pass with 0.5 seconds left. Not sure why I get annoyed when they can't stop anybody the last two or three minutes of the game.

Green89 wrote:Awful play to end regulation. Cost us the game. How you don't go to the rim and potentially get fouled when you only need a point to win it is beyond me. Never should have taken a three there. NEVER. Spo got the same chance and he coached it right, with a Butler drive to win it.

Yep, I was very angry with that.

Aside from that a tough loss where I can't complain about the effort. Kemba still struggling but ever so slowly getting a little bit better.

Smart and Tatum huge. Wanamaker and Brown excellent. Theis a little disappointing.

I liked the 3 guard on court idea for something different, but would like even more imagination from Brad at times when we stagnate. Give Romeo or Kanter a minute or two and give Miami something different to deal with and see how it looks. If it doesn't work then you know for sure but if it does it adds to the options.

Theis fouling out also hurt us on defense down the stretch.

Brad Stevens shouldn't be happy with himself for sucking on offensive sets. Unless players aren't listening to him, which would be worse.

Well to be fared he did try driving it for the last shot in overtime and got rejected by Bam.

-Kemba needs to find his shot. It did seem like he was starting to get going in the late 4th and OT.
-Jaylen needs to get more involved in the offense down the stretch. This isn't on him so much as the overuse of Kemba/Tatum isos.
-Until the last 5 minutes of regulation, Tatum was great. Then it was multiple chokes in a row. Every star has games like that but it can't be his norm if we're ever going to amount to anything.
-Smart got us the free throw that got us to OT and played a great overall game, but there were otherwise no Marcus Smart plays down the stretch and this team relies on those. We seem to always lose close games unless he pulls the win out for us.
-Theis needs to stop with the dumbass fouls.
-Brad wasting a timeout in OT to challenge something after being the guy who refused to waste timeouts on challenges cost us as well. Having to full-court heave on the final play was pretty much an assured missed 3. All you people complaining about Brad's lack of challenging: This right here is why he usually doesn't.
-Hayward needs to get healthy. Bad luck or not, we already lost one ECF because he wasn't healthy. Don't let it be 2.
