Myles Turner would of been the perfect center for this team. Can shoot from range and blocks shots on a decent long term deal too.

How is it getting too cute? If Indiana was willing to match Charlotte's offer I'm sure Hayward would be playing in Indy. But since Charlotte offered more money, and they can just sign Hayward into their capspace, oh well. I wanted Hayward back, but they've gotten zero production from him in three playoffs now, so really not a huge net-loss.

So now Celtics have the full MLE, can they sign anyone? Seems like all the viable FA targets are already allegedly signed. But things change rapidly as we've seen with Hayward.

Pretty terrible offseason so far with the draft and now this, though.

All right, now it's time to work. Danny, Mike you better work these phones now with the remaining free agents and bring in some help. Right now our roster looks like five NBA caliber players and a bunch of rookies and sophmores. That will not do the trick come play off time.

You do know they made it to the Eastern Conference Finals? The second time in 3 years for this group of players. Not saying they don't have to add some pieces but the big parts are already here.

I do, and i know we have a great foundation but i don't want the Celtics to be complacent. I want to improve the roster so we can make progress and right now 22h into free agency our roster doesn't look improved at all.

We had weak spots last season and they need to be adressed, secondary playmaking, outside shooting and interior defense.

While i think our youngster can grow into those roles, i don't want to be reliant on them. (talking 2nd unit, love our starting line up)

If you tell me you're comfortable with this bench going into the season, that fine. I'm not though because the average expierience of that player group is 0-2 years in the NBA. That will not help us in the post season. Plain and simple.

You guys make a run at Milsap I bet unless if never says we just can’t lost everyone from last year and our only real vet.

You still need a bench though if you sign Milsap. Guys like Batum, Ariza, and Noel are going to offer way more than what you have to compliment Smart.

In fact I think an off-season where you go and get a Marc, Ariza, Markieff would actually benefit you most because no one on your team including the coach knows how to win. So get some vets who know how to. As much as people scoffed at the lakers, Danny, Rondo, Bron, JR, Javale all knew how to win it all

Going to fun seeing Smart freeze out Jaylen to get his shots up.

Tristan Thompson for the full midlevel would be nice if we can get that.

Lol, did Ainge and co. watch Millsap in the playoffs? Dude was moving slower than Kanter and he'll be 36 by the time this season's playoffs come around, he's done.

If that's our reinforcement that's coming in, we'll be celebrating losing in the Conference Finals again. If we even get that far.

I don’t dislike Milsap but he is the kind of guy who can galvanize a team kinda like Al did for y’all. I mean say what you will but he got Denver a game vs the Clippers for them tapping and them young dogs followed his lead after and sent them home

Smart thing to do too would be calling him up and talking about Tristan and Noel both coming to Rich Paul. Take on two clients and shore up y’all big rotation.

That last tweet sounds silly. Hayward isn't going to "call his bluff" on Ainge by moving his family to a place that he doesn't want to be as bad. No way he was going to "surprise" Danny with where he's signing.

No we need help it seems like you feel like the team itself isn't good enough or there is something wrong with their make up. I don't care if they are 20 or 40 need some help upfront and more shooting. The team that knocked us out of the playoffs was a bunch of rookies and young guys raining 3's on our heads.

Huge fail by Ainge. If there was literally any asset offered by Indy, Ainge **** up massively if he didn't just take it. Not only did we lose Hayward, we had our roster frozen and missed out on a boatload of interesting FAs.

I have been a "Faith in Danny" for ever. I have to admit that this time, it sure looks like Danny got "Ainged" in being greedy. I don't know the facts, but I really wanted Turner. I would have done Turner for Hayward straight up, but Danny would have gotten even more grief over that. I don't think Milsap is a good signig. Looks like panic signing.
