CP3 is basically a mini-LeBron who gets injured a lot, and at the worst times. Feels like he'll be all-time most underappreciated careers, especially if he never wins a title.

I recall people here wanting to trade Pierce for the pick that became CP3 and I thought they were crazy. **** I've been on this board too long.

Agree on CP. He would be great with this Celtics team. Watching Suns - Clips and really wish Jae Crowder was still a Celtic.

Remember when Sacramento was rumored NOT to wanting to trade H Barnes because they wanted to make a playoff run?? really?? they are getting blown out by Detroit at home and like 6 games behind the 8th spot..

So dumb. they could have tanked better, got a much higher first with at least another 1st for Barnes.

Seeing how nice a veteran like Fournier has played for Boston, thinking H Barnes would have had a similar effect as well.

that trade could have been a win win. Good job Sac.

Sam, Jae plays the right way for sure and I definitely have respect for CP and what he's doing in Philly. Rockets might have won an NBA title over the Warriors if CP didn't get injured. They were up 3-2 right?

Charlotte could beat Milwaukee which doesn't exactly help the Celtics.

Bucks sat Giannis, Middleton, Divincenzo, Lopez, Jrue and Tucker. Old friend Teague started and had 19 and 6. Lol

Hawks also managed to survive 50 pts from Zach Lavine to beat the Bulls.

Not a good day for us in terms of the standings. We really needed a good win streak here to get that 4th seed.

Damn I had no idea Milwaukee sat so many. I guess they're expecting just to keep the third seed at this point.

Stevens just doesn’t know how to utilize his players properly. Just because a certain player doesn’t fit his style or system. I pity guys like Nesmith, or even Carsen. They would probably fair better with another coach. Stevens’ style of erratic playing time for role players is just frustrating. Play today, dnp’s the next lol. It’s better to just let them go, than rot and lose confidence on the bench.
I’m happy for Enes.

Enes had games like that for us too. most of the time, however, he was a big negative on the floor, even when he was putting up stats. too bad, i like the guy, but i'd much rather have tristan.

Kanter has warts...but I’d still rather have him than Thompson.

People focus too much on raw numbers and miss the whole point of being used as a role player. Kanter had a career-high 9.9 net rating when he was on the Celtics. Cs were outscoring opponents by almost 10 points per 100 possessions when he was on the floor. That's almost twice as much as his previous career high. Stevens was able to hide his defensive weakness so much so that he had the best oncourt defensive rating since his sophomore year in UTA.

If that's not maximizing your role player, I don't know what is. Ainge made a mistake of letting Kanter go. He'd be perfect for what we'd require from a backup center this season.

Not really, according to the on/off court data, we played better with Kanter on the floor versus our other centers. Per 100 possessions, Kanter posted a +4.3, versus +0.5 for Theis, +1 for Grant, and -1.6 for Timelord.

That said, it might have been Enes himself who decided he would rather play in Portland than to return to a back up role on the Cs.

Kanter opted in. If I had to venture a guess, Ainge traded him as cost-cutting measure (along with Poirier and the 30th pick) anticipating Hayward would re-sign with the Cs.

Enes was a criminal misjudgement by both Danny and Brad.
And it was so obvious. One of the best backup bigs(if not the best), cheap, great locker room guy. Let's have fun with TT now :banghead:
Messi. Jordan. Ali. Bolt. Senna. Serena. Karelin. Phelps. Rossi. Suleymanoglou. The GOATs.

Offensively and Rebounding Kanter was a real plus, but it was hard to hide him on PNR defense. Between Kanter and Kemba probably left teams salivating on offense.

With that said I have Luke Kornet, Kanter and TT in that order.

Hell no! Tristan is just good for snatching rebounds, even against his own teammates. Lol. Kanter is the better rebounder and scorer. The gap on defense isn’t that much either. For a back up center, i’d take Enes over Tristan anytime.
