If Ainge wants to trade Hayward into Atlanta's cap space for a pick and a huge trade exception, that's fine with me, but I wouldn't give up picks to accomplish that. And why would Atlanta do that?

I know anything I want to happen doesn't happen but about a week or so ago I was in a hole of watching draft eligible guys and I landed on a video of Jrue out of nowhere. He wasn't rumored at the time. I didn't know how we'd pull it off but from that day I was just happy imagining we would pluck him from obscurity and he'd finally get some light here! He is so underrated and the type of guy I love. Defend the hell out of his position but can also do damage on offense. If we manage to add him to smart, JB and JT on defense, teams should just quit before the games start!! Theis is even underrated on defense. That's gonna be crazy if we can pull it off!

Yes, we will need other upgrades on our bench especially, but that would be a really good get/fit if it doesn't cost us a good player.

Forgive me for jumping out of the shadows after 2 years but have we suggested combining these rumors somewhat...

Jrue to Boston
Hayward to Indiana
Turner and Lamb/Warren to Pelicans

Add picks to taste

Ideally you'd hang on to #14 and find a way to move up for Okongwu, or convince an Ibaka/Favors/Thompson to take the MLE

Turner seems like a great fit for spacing/rim protection next to Zion, Hayward goes home and we get Holiday

New idea:

Hayward to ATL for a TPE

Jrue to Boston

14, 26, Poirier, Edwards to NOP

We add Jrue and save ~15M, giving us access to the full MLE [assuming we punt Kanter or he opts out].

Looks like maybe 2 Trades?

I'd Love to get a TPE.
Could using only a part of it get us under the Tax, and thus able to use the Non-Taxpayer MLE?

Ainge seems to be trying hard to make something happen. No guarantee anything happens
