Only way we get into top 3 is Hayward/14/26/30 for Wiggins/2

Re: Trade Thread, Part 4: The Hayward Game
The only way Harden makes any sense is if he signs an extension. Get him for an additional 2 years and then he and Tatum can work to get that last guy we need. Otherwise we rent and he walks

Agree it's a possibility. As I posted at the end of the last thread, could see Smart + #14 for #2.

Wiggins is probably the tax it takes to get that pick, but if its just Hayward and picks I'm all in. Wiseman or Ball.

Re: Trade Thread, Part 4: The Hayward Game
The way the teams that are in front of the Celtics usually draft Ainge might be better off just drafting at 14. Probably would get a Top 5 player.
Don’t have a ton of confidence in the New York, Charlotte, Minnesota etc. front offices of the NBA

I bet brad could make a decent player out of wiggins that we could get out of that within 2 years.
I'd do it.

There's no chance Danny takes Ball. Wiseman would be the pick.

Done. Maybe we are even able to make Wiggins look halfway decent here like they were able to with Jordan Crawford and then move him down the line

You are so disconnected from how the nba works....u say I’m post padding but at least I have a clue. The days of KG’s or superstars agreeing to extensions before a deal are dead and extremely extremely extremely unlikely. It’s not even good business for an agent to push his client somewhere and have them commit without seeing how he fits in and likes the teams he’s going to.
He’d lose all leverage like that. MVP’s with 2 years left don’t fall off trees and become available and they damn sure don’t with more than 2
