not sure i care one iota about shot creation for this guy. he isn't going to be asked to create anything for anyone in our offense, at least not in the first couple of years. it's like complaining that tim duncan had a poor handle. who tf cares.

he'll have a role right away. the guy who should be worried is langford. langford doesn't have anything pro-level in his skillset right now, but nesmith does.

think danny was pissed about not getting herro last year? lol he drafts 3 knockdown deep shooters. giddyup y'all.

I have a feeling Tatum was very happy with this pick.

Random fact: Aaron was born in Charleston, South Carolina, same city where another active NBA shooter was from -- Khris Middleton. Another South Carolina guy: Kevin Garnett. Hopefully he ends up having a better career. ;)

The guy is perfect for our team. Versatile, strong, good athlete and can shoot lights out from 3. Considering outside of Brown and Tatum we struggled to knock down wide open 3s and score in the playoffs, Nesmith should definitely help right away.

He was an 82% free throw shooter both years in college. It is well proven that college free throw shooting correlates with NBA three point shooting.

Also note that Jayson Tatum only took 117 threes in college.

I think he’s going to be pre achilles Wesley Matthews.

Love this pick even more than last night. Though I like 26 less than last night lol.

At the very least, I believe Nesmith and Pritchard are capable of dropping 20 on a hot shooting night. That's something you could never expect from Semi and Brad.

Didn't we think the same of Carsen Edwards?

Nesmith is definitely an upgrade on Semi, Wanamaker is better than Pritchard though, for sure.

Both guys drafted are known for their shooting. That's a change in strategy at least for Ainge :dontknow:

Great shooter. Willing to move hard w/o ball.
Fine NBA athleticism, but nothing special in that regard. (Ahead of Herro there.)
Smart/savvy/hustling enough to make some kinds of additional plays. (Defense for him, rebounding for Herro.)
Na this is more duncan robinson than Herro, tyler can playmake has handles and can put the ball on the floor , aaron is a shooter but still has a lot of potential, am a big fan of his game cuz I love shooters

Well, with us missing a bunch of shots late in games in the playoffs, while having huge leads and Brown and Tatum being the 2 guys who kinda were able to provide offense, shooting should be welcome.

Nesmith is my favorite Celtics draft pick since Jayson Tatum, and one of my favorites over the past decade. He was a guy I circled right from the beginning, but I didn't want to jinx it. I was afraid NOLA would take him 1 spot earlier like how Miami took Herro at #13 last year. Welcome to Boston Aaron! Now I'm just going to hope that Celtics PA can coin "A-A-Ron for threeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!"

Right. I personally feel though that Carsen was in a tough spot last year. He was a third string undersized PG who was expected to put up buckets whenever he's fielded in. I think Pritchard might be a better playmaker and finisher, which would warrant minutes even though he's not necessarily shooting very well. I really like the McConnell comparison. I guess it depends on PP's position in the depth chart at the beginning of the year. If they don't bring another PG and Pritchard essentially takes Brad's spot, I think he's very capable.

I see that. If both Hayward and Wanamaker are gone, we'll need playmaking on the second unit. Cs might also want to manage the minutes of Kemba especially early in the season.

I love this pick. I think Nesmith could be one of the steals of the draft.

He’s like a rich man’s Buddy Hield and to get someone like that in the middle of the first round is a win.
