I'm not completely sure, but maybe they score it differently? Strips when guys are starting to go up are blocks in the NBA. Maybe they don't score it that way in college? I watch quite a bit of NCAA, but never really payed attention to those box score details.

Pritchard's 3 blocks were all against Detroit. All 3 are of the strip variety where he doesn't even jump. His hands don't even go above his own head.

I wonder how long it will take this board to turn on him?

Squint a little and he could be their son!

We knew about his shooting, but I was amazed at his finishing ability. He's got an array of shots around the rim and is rarely blocked. He may be a better finisher than the Jays.

I've seen enough it's time to upgrade PP to 32mpg.

Last season for Kemba here in Boston.

The first point makes a lot of sense.

The second makes a lot less.

Kemba, Smart and Pritchard could easily all get starter minutes together, although only two of them should actually start.

Kemba was already on borrowed time before the recent events of Payton. He's gonna be traded in the off-season.

Would not be surprised if that is how Brad goes, sliding Tatum to the 4 and squeezing away minutes from Grant and Semi, but that will definitely depend on the opponent. A team like TOR you can do that; against LAL we would get eaten alive.

Who does PP best compare with? Steve Nash, there I said it!

I must be watching a different Jeff Teague than you've been watching. I think he's fine on defense-- undersized, but he gets a fair number of steals which turn into transition baskets. But on offense he dribbles too damn much. Thinks he's Kyrie Irving lite. I keep screaming at him: "Do something! Pass it or shoot it or drive it, but stop playing with the ball." His three point shooting has been ok, but he doesn't seem to know what to do in Stevens' offense.

I'm fine with Pritchard and Waters sharing the point with Smart until Kemba is ready.

The steals have been nice, but he's offered little resistance at the point of attack, and he can't switch. They got a lot defensively last year from having a PG in Brad Wanamaker who can body bigger players consistently. And it doesn't help that he's being asked to play with other PGs sometimes. Whereas even if Pritchard lacks prototypical length for a switchable PG, he seems to have some stoutness.

Offensively he overdribbles once they're in the half court, but he also gets up and down with purpose. That's a kick in the rear the rest of the team benefits from. Walker, Smart, Brown and Tatum all have a penchant for walking the ball up the floor.

He has Gordon’s knack for decelerating. Something that I hope the Jays will work on adding to their games!

While he's not that undersized (he's kinda regular size for a reserve PG), he will for sure be targeted on defense in the playoffs. And I can't imagine us getting multiple stops against elite offense if him and Kemba share the floor. Up to the coaching staff to scheme around that.

But he's already showing his value 8 games into a 22-year Celtics career.

The draft thread and the takes about this kid were terrible.

In the playoffs, I imagine that the group closing out games will be: Kemba, Smart, Brown, Tatum, and Thompson or Theis.

Teague will probably be in the second unit offense with Brown. He might be on the floor with Kemba, but I would doubt it would be at the beginning or end of games.

He's got a good mix of wrong-foot finishes, making use of the pivot, moving the ball around after the gather, and using his body to create space. That finish over Siakim was absurd.

Rondo was picked 21st. This PP Kid was picked 26th.
That's who he reminds me of.

I think that he's Kemba's replacement.
Just a matter of time.

He actually looked like McHale on a couple of those plays where he stops and pivots, ducks under guys and scores or passes. Well, the scores at least looked like McHale. :)
