Haven't seen this in the last 10 pages, just got home - is there a small sign and trade coming? Much less than the package from Indiana, but might be able to salvage something... a protected 2nd is something lol.

No we thought we might get something from Charlotte in a sign and trade but they instead waived and stretched Batum to open cap space and we got nothing.

Yeah I saw the Celtics blow big leads in multiple games, score same amount of points in the series, and have a lack of center that Bam feasted on. Where am I wrong? I believe all those things happened did they not? Are you always this insufferable or just today?

I'm just wondering how the Heat are "demonstrably better" and for some reason you refuse to answer.

I answered it. You just don't like the answer.

Their two stars are equal to yours
They have much better depth
They have a much better coach

Vin Baker was a more memorable Celtic...

He'll drink to that.

Yup. Celtics got worked that entire series. You've had a long day of defending the honor of Danny Ainge.

Charlotte stretch-waived Batum, believe it or not. No S&T it appears.

Which, Charlotte didn't really have anything we wanted anyway.

Did we get outrebounded by 50 every game last year? Because I swear we have like the same exact roster that played in the playoffs lol..

Some of you are so dramatic.

To make up for this Ainge is going to need to find a guy with the MLE that will outplay that contract and be easily flip-able for a 1st round pick in the offseason. My leader in the clubhouse is Giles.

I thInk it was more blowing big leads which was the story. IIRC, Celtics and Heat scored same amount of points that series. No doubt lack of center hurt them but I don't see how the Heat are "demonstrably better" than the Celtics after losing Hayward (a series which he was a non-factor in)?

Did you watch the same series as us?

You mean the series where if Tatum hits that buzzer beater in game one, we probably lead the series 3-2?

Miami won. Credit to them. They were better.

But the "it wasn't even close" take is so, so lazy.

Is that the same game where he tried to have a slam dunk in bams face?

Sorry man. The celtics being close was actually a anomaly to the series and not the given.

Your entire paragraph is why the celtics aren't good enough. Not reason for hope

Celtics got crushed bell to bell. Thats okay. But just admit the obvious. Celtics are the 5th best team in the east right now. Maybe 6th. Them and Raptors are in the same tier. Celtics slightly higher.

You’re conveniently missing the part where Ainge took a full day to haggle over the return and allowed Charlotte to recoup from the Harrell failure and pivot to Hayward.

so you feel gordon hayward was going to accept the sign and trade for 4/100m to pacers at 601pm on friday if we gave it to him.

The same guy who took forever last time and up to the last min on a 2 day exetension of his opt out.........

Give me some of that you are taking please.

Yes, he wanted to go home. His wife wanted to go home.

They also weren’t going to turn down an extra $20 million dollars like any sensible human would.

If you become greedy about a trade return, wait a full day, and allow other professional basketball teams to move on to their Plan B, then this is the result.

This isn’t on Hayward. It’s on Ainge.

So anyone out there we can sign? Ainge was jacking off to Hayward deal... while free agents were flying left and right

Until it's called in to the league, I suppose it's still possible. They could even still waive and stretch Batum, and then S&T Hayward giving us a ~30M TPE if we gave them a first or something. Not likely, but possible.

That's not how sports work. There aren't fake wins and fake shots and fake plays.

Miami was the better team. But them running us off the court is revisionist history.

You can't alter reality just by repeating things long and loud enough.

yeah, it sucks. Blame Jae Crowder, that Hayward injury 5 mins in game one, just **** killed the entire hayward signing with us.

Missed 1 year.

So bad year 2 that other teams stars were making fun of us for his contract and Kyrie left real fast. (draymond green)

Year 3 he looks to be building his value back, maybe we could trade him, but he's doing 50/40/90 type stats lets win it this year... broken hand. Just gets back from broken hand and the bubble starts. First playoff game.... 3 week injury again. I mean.

Sometimes life is just luck. or bad luck.
