It's hard to see us sit on the TPE while Waters and Edwards continue to get minutes.

They can get plenty of minutes-- so long as the team wins. Edwards played well last night.

Waters will get zero minutes in normal situations. When four guards are injured, yes, your 5th point guard g-leaguer will play. Edwards is a player worth developing.

For those excited about beal being frustrated and hoping for a trade ....are u willing to include brown? Because that’s the only way you’re getting him which IMO is counter productive. Beal via free agency? Yup. Beal via a kemba trade? Yup. (Never happening) trading Jaylen for beal? No.
Take advantage of browns great start and go get the beard if your gonna make a huge move (we aren’t). You can get him now and keep our depth.
Brown/theis/edwards/nesmith....harden smart Tatum kembaThompson Teague pp timelord kemba Romeo semi + tpe. That’s the 2nd best team in the league with a legit shot to beat the lakers and by far the best team in the east

And 1'ing for the Beal part (we don't agree on Harden for the most part - which is fine).
If Beal is on the trade block he's going to command a King's ransom. I really want Beal in green at some point. But that's the problem. The rest of the league wants him too. Literally fits anywhere.

That might be the first time I was NOT in the Wall of Shame of a trade or offseason thread. KG was right. Anything IS possible.

What we could use is Beal demanding a trade to Boston.

We can get Beal in summer 2022 IF Kemba opts out of last year of his contract (what is not realistic) or if we trade him this summer for 2022 expiring contracts.
We could give Beal max contract with Brown/Tatum (58 million) and 4 youngsters on rookie contracts(Prichard, Langford, Nesmith, G.Williams) on roster.
Cap will be set at 116 million
To also keep Timelord which will have 10 million cap hit would be hard, probably 2 of 4 players on rookie contract would have to be gone for Timelord to stay.
30.3 Tatum
27.5 Brown
2.2 Prichard
4.3 G.Williams
3.8 Nesmith
3.6 6xghost spots
10.0 R.Williams cao hit
34.8 Beal Max (30% of 116mill cap)
---------------------------
116.5 million
No Smart off course, him being a FA.
Prichard
Beal/Nesmith
Brown
Tatum/G.Williams
R.Williams
That formidable roster

I don't mind feeling out the league and see some struggling team want to dump somebody off at the deadline. Would be cool if Edwards could do anything to up his trade value also.

Our missing piece Taj Gibson is signing with the Knicks. Hate it when players choose other teams over us to ring-chase.

LOL at any player joining the NY Dolans to "ring chase." I assume you are making a joke.
Gibson is a Thibs fave who needed a job.

New York is a classic early season performance, "wow are they actually good now?" team. And then they go 2-10 and everyone forgets about them.

dumbest thing we could do is use it now.
See who shakes lose for a pick and the 6m or so exception from Kanter at deadline. No reason to waste a chance at a 28m a year player for 1 year of a 12m a year guy.

That seals it. Remember, KO was picked BEFORE Giannis. Harden to Miami confirmed.

When thinking about who to get as a mid season pickup- personality might be as important as anything. Last night in the heat game when Brown and Tatum went cold and we lost our early need, it seemed like we need someone to get people to snap out of the funk. A proven scorer off the bench would help, but we have guys who can score. Some of giving up leads in mental. I don't know who the right personality is, but that is an important question. As good as they are Brown and Tatum are still very young- like brain not fully developed young. Thats why Vice Carter and Rose appeal to me. If not them someone like them. A vet everyone will respect and listen too.
