Jaylen Brown is Marvin Barnes.
Marcus Smart is Curtis Rowe.
Only Celtics on the roster are Tatum, R Williams, Tacko and, due to getting a chance to show it, Gary Payton's son Pritchard and N.E. Smith.
Semi Ojeleye is Steve Kuberski.

Another coming-out game for Timelord. At least he'll be ready when the rest of the team wakes the hell up.

Ugly game by Celts. Cleveland's guards are smooth, and their Bigs are athletic. Watching made me wish for better shooters and more length.
If you thought they played badly, the data below would indicate such. Still can't believe that when Ainge needed to replace Ojeleye and Grant Williams he passed on Saddiq Bey, who on draft night Isaih Thomas (former Raptors President & Knicks President) said was not only NBA rotation ready, but was good enough to be part of the rotation of a team aspiring to win a championship. Only way you don't see that is if you based your draft on data and not watching game film... oh, but Ainge usually doesn't take Best Player Available, but prefers to draft for need, and obviously he didn't want to replace Semi & Grant as much as the rest of us.
Pts. + Rebounds + (0.5 x Assists) + Steals + (0.5 x Blocks) - Missed FGs - (0.5 x Missed Free Throws) - Turnovers - (0.5 x Fouls)
+28 Robert Williams III
+22 Jayson Tatum
+15.5 Jaylen Brown
+13.5 Marcus Smart
+7.5 Payton Pritchard
+4.5 Semi Ojeleye
+4 Grant Williams
+2 Daniel Theis
0.0 Jeff Teague
-0.5 Javonte Green
-0.5 Carsen Edwards

On the bright side, we're setting ourselves up for a cinderella story through the play-in tournament, only to get our sh*t kicked in by Brooklyn.
So at least there's that.

Tatum 29 on 24 shots
Jaylen 28 on 26 shots
20-29 from the FT line.
Smart 2 assists and 4 turnovers.
Not going to beat even garbage teams when the above is happening.
Rob was awesome though, yay.

When is the last time we were 20-20?
Back, when Isaiah Thomas was on the team?

Watching Sexton just reminds me that every "go for it " moment has backfired.

Not sure ownership can be pleased right now. Hawks and Knicks are a game away and we're worse than the Hornets.

Another close the Jays can’t win. This a trend now. Barnes or AG ain’t fixing this ****. Every **** are out executing us down the stretch. This is on our leaders and coaching. The worst offense in the league just scored 117 points.

This team is poorly built and poorly coached, but unfortunately the two men most responsible for that's jobs are more secure than the Federal Reserve.
Only questions I have for the future are who will be the first to demand a trade between Tatum & Brown and will it be to the Lakers or Heat

63 minutes for guys nobody wants to see playing.
Nesmith is the only one people would like to see a lot more minutes from.
Yeah, the roster is light.

He's a revelation. Honestly though, I didn't like the look of the way he was moving at the end. He played 27 minutes, significantly above his average and the team cannot afford to risk his hips if this is going to be a throwaway season.

Danny Ainge should get drunk on ginger ale and make some calls to see what he can get for anyone in the roster.

Only bright note of this dismal season. Completely outplayed Jarrett Allen, one of the best young Cs in the game. Rob is going to be an elite C.

This sums up every single person on this Celtics team right now, from the coaching staff to the players:

I'm pretty sure that players and coaches are gonna say some **** in the post-game like "We need to play with more urgency" or "Gotta talk on defense" or "We need to move the ball around more" or "We need to make it tough on our opponents." Then they'll go out the next game and do NONE of those things, reverting to hero ball, running around on defense with no idea who to guard, going through the motions.
I'm just tired at this point. I know it's a back-to-back, but that Cavs team was struggling for some time and they just looked like world-beaters against our horrendous defense. Right now, we exist to give terrible teams confidence. This team sucks. It **** sucks, and Ainge should be absolutely ashamed of what he's built. He should resign in shame or something.
