Is it bad that I don't even care anymore?

20 years being a fan and I don't think I've ever missed as many games as I have this season. Absolutely hate watching these guys play..almost as much as they hate putting in effort and being consistent about it.

Meh.

They're not a compelling product right now, so no, it's not bad at all.

I was spoiled By Boston early in life. I was also at the 1986 draft and stood/sat 10 ft next to Len Bias. If someone told me then Boston would win only 1 more title in the next 34 years, I would have thought a nuclear bomb was dropped or something like that.

Way past unbelievable for me.

I haven't been commenting a ton the last week or so because I haven't been feeling well and the games bum me out and then coming on here and reading about how bummed everyone else is bums me out even more and it's just too much being bummed in the end.

Would be really nice to get a win and have a temporary period of being less bummed plz. Go C's. Or something.
Gonna miss KP but he's no Georges Niang.

I'll settle for effort. Against the Kings effort should translate to an easy win anyway but I don't really care about the W/L right now, I just want to see the team play hard, preferably for 48 min but I know that's a bit of a dream atm. None of this not showing up for the 1st quarter ****.

I had way more fun watching the Jordan Crawford led Celtics than these bunch, that's saying a lot about how I feel about this team.

Sitting through the Celtics these days is like sitting through a bad two and a half hour movie. So yeah no surprises at all you've lost interest. I'm in the exact same boat as you.

The highlight of the Cleveland game for me was Grant Williams thinking he was fouled and not getting the call and then chasing down whoever it was (Osmond? Nance?) and getting a flagrant foul. It wasn't a hard foul and he wasn't looking to hurt anyone or I wouldn't be happy about it, with that said that pissed off attack mode is what this team is missing. We need it more from Marcus too, he plays more in control these days and that's a good thing but he needs to let the dog off the leash for a bit. This team needs some identity and I think the only place they can be good enough to find it is defensively through effort. Stop walking up the floor, stop with the bad body language, start instigating. Get some swagger back.

We need some Celtics back.

This might be the last shot for the NBA to get its kicks in on a non-Romeo Langford Celtics team. The real season starts soon.

Amen.... Attitude reflects leadership and this team is the personality of their coach. Mr Rogers isnt cut out to motivate these guys, IMO. Hope he proves me wrong, but I miss a passionate Rivers on the sidelines! Let it out Brad, it’s ok to have feelings! Let’s fn go!

First game of the season that I intentionally plan to pay no attention to. Hope the boys get their **** together. Hell if they pull off a win they can give themselves another week off from expectations.

See you on the next trade thread: “the entire board debates Fierce at length”

Same. There is not much to get excited about this team. It’s boring and frustrating as hell watching this team. We need drastic changes to happen. Whether it’s a coaching change, or major trades, anything to wake things up. While teams are getting better, we are stuck at pre season level trying to figure things out. No surprises there, as this always happen with Stevens in recent years.

Will be tuning in, but to echo the sentiment...

I've had a bit of time on my hands the last month to watch every game due to recovering from a concussion, but I tend to finish these games feeling like I've received a brand new one! It will be a hard one to explain at my next doctor's appointment.

The most exciting part of tomorrow may be the prospect of the Kings showcasing Bjelica for limited minutes in front of Danny.

Enough of the negative - Celtics by 5, Timelord arises with 16/12/4.

What's the Net Rating for Tatum, Brown and Williams(not Grant lol) because that is the real top trio on the Celtics right now.

It's worse. +2.6. And I only wanted to include starters.

If you want our best trio, it's Tatum, Timelord, and Teague with +16.2 lol.

When the product is bad like it is with the Celtics, or I guess this is average with a young developing team so still above average, but when it's not top tier in this era we get...

0 physicality
0 defense
players have 0 emotional investment in rivarlies or statements
0 difference between team styles

This era is the worst era in NBA history since there was actual talent on the court and even then it was probably worse than players playing who were doing it for pride for their local city and able to be physical on the court.

This is like watching teams casually take algerbra tests and it **** sucks.

The NBA won't do it because it will take a lot of effort but we need to install at least franchise tags, and we need to go back to handchecking being allowed along with allowing physicaly contact.

There are arguments to be made for removing zone defenses again so players will be encouraged to go 1 on 1 on offense and defense and suddenly we can at least have some talent battles in game as those are at least interesting (not if the defender isn't allowed to be physical and defend though).
