Yeah there is a difference. Are you saying we will never win a title again from here to eternity because of Brad Stevens? Has he jinxed us? Is this like a trading Babe Ruth kind of thing where it goes away after 100 years?

Boston may win 18 with Stevens, But it won't be because he was the difference. Similar to Doc Rivers, Frank Vogel Nick Nurse.

So what coaches are out there that don't have the talent but they win titles because of just great coaching? I'm sure you'll look something up and double down on this one too.

Tom Heinsohn changed his scheme for Game 7 of the Finals vs. the Bucks, the story goes. (I think it was about doubling Kareem.) But his team was also loaded with talent.

The famous triple OT/Glenn McDonald game was in a Finals the Cs won 4-2, so I don't know how much credit he gets for that one. And indeed he was fired less than 1 1/2 seasons later.

There isn't a single coach in the NBA that has won a ring without talent. A coach can 1-increase a team's ability up a notch or 2- stay as expected or 3-take a team down a notch or 2.. Steven's has no doubt done all 3 in his stay with Boston. Unfortunately 2 or the last 3 years it's been #3.

I also don't plan on any long debates, since I have mentioned numerous times throughout the season my reasonings.

He is a solid third center. He can't play good one on one defense. Don't put him on embiid or zion. As a team defender and a switching big, he is great because he just puts those long arms up and blocks shots with height, not athletics.

Kornet has surprised me, but I'm not ready to jump on the "Kornet is better than Theis" bus. He looked good against the Lakers, getting PT with Timelord out. The three previous games, though, he sat on the bench. I think I have to go with Theis over Kornet until/unless Kornet's PT gets consistently in the vicinity of 15 min./game, which is what Theis averaged his first two years with the Celtics (his minutes increased to 24 min./game over the last two years he was here).

Looks like Luke's grandpa's funeral today--and his older sister says Luke got both grandpa's height and brains:

Kornet is Dirk, but 2 inches taller, better defense, better rebounding, better rim protection but Dirk way more talented overall, quicker, more explosive, has a way better offensive arsenal with all of the dribble drive moves, fadeaways etc better shooter...

Dirk Nowitski without the shooting is like Bob Cousy without the passing or Bill Russell without the defense.

I didn't say Kornet was Dirk without the shooting. Simply that Dirk is a better shooter (and Kornet is a better defender)

No, you said Kornet was Dirk without the shooting, speed, explosiveness, way better offensive arsenal, dribble drive moves, fadeaways, etc.
