Brad Stevens is an absolute moron. He’s going back to TT in the starting 5 when Thompson clears protocol

I honestly believe that was part of the deal with Klutch when the Celtics signed him. TT starts or no deal. That's just stupid though.

Do you have evidence and reasons for that other than TT's quality of play?

Nope. I just recall it being mentioned several times in one of the other threads. It makes sense when you think about it. I mean, we all see how better the team is with RWIII as opposed to TT, so there's really no reason for TT to start over him unless it was promised to TT.

The VC goes to Mo for his troll first shot to Theis and faceplant in the chest of the Bucks defender.

In all seriousness JT by a mile, despite how good Timelord and almost everyone was...

Wonderful team game.

Tacko was pretty damn ordinary but even so he does cause hesitation in the opposition when driving that cause misses. I felt like it was a step back for him compared to last time I saw him.

My suspicion's also. Yet, if Andre Drummond were to sign here, Tristan Thompson would probably get bought out, because there is no way that he'd start over Drummond. And there is no way Drummond would come here to play behind Rob. So, if Drummond talked to the Celtics today, which he did, it was with the understanding that he'd be the starter. And with Drummond starting, there would be no need for Tristan Thompson.

But, if Thompson were willing to come off the bench, he could be kept around, and someone like Luke Kornet might be outgoing.

Drummond can pound sand if that's the case.

Great win. Nice to beat a really good team for a change.

Tatum with the VC. He was great.

Smart was really good. If he shoots like that more often, he is another level player.

Rob with an all around good game. Did a lot of everything. TT take your time coming back.

Kemba had a really good first half.
Brown was also good.

Pritchard was solid on both ends. Really got after it on defense. Same for Grant.

Loved the sharing of the basketball and the defense.

I'm the biggest Thompson hater on this board and would have released him from his contract one second after his signing it, but even he is better than Andre Drummond.

JT for the VC. TL drinks on the house. Great all around game. Gotta bring this effort every night. Energy, pace,, unselfishness, running, rebounding.

Hopefully this will be the start to returning to the #4 seed.

It would be great if the Celts can end up with a 40-32 record this season.

Tatum gets 2/3 of the VC, RW gets the other 1/3. Sometimes a few small changes is all it takes to turn a team around. Maybe, just maybe we watched the start of something special tonight (or they might go and and lose their next 4 games  )
Games like this give us all a quick boost of hope - let's see if they can keep building on that.

It's almost as if some other center we gave heavy mins too sucked and we are better now that he's gone.....

Interesting.

TImelord. His defense changes things.

Dud of the night, anyone see Edwards was a -7 plus minus in like 2 mins of play.

Don’t overthink it. Brad is telling us he’s an idiot. Believe him.

Good one?

I mean doesn’t matter who starts Timelord is only gonna play 25 MPG anyways and only matters if he’s in the closing lineup.

It seemed to matter tonight. Of course it matters who starts.

Smart defense on Giannis was brilliant! I do not think he gets enough credit for that! If he was listed I would give the cigar to him.

Also great games from Tatum and Rob obviously. And I really like Grant he just kept moving, this is what we need to do to be successful.

I'm gonna go with Smart (voted Tatum since Smart wasn't listed). Marcus's defense on Giannis was a tone setter and made everyone else's lives easier. Going 7-10 from 3 means he had basically a "superstar" level impact out there, which I'd say was more significant than Jayson's.

I can be a bit contradictory with my praise of Marcus since I subscribe to the theory that he should average 10 shots or under, but when he's hot it's a beautifully well rounded game he brings to the table. The Celtics need to get to the line more and take more threes as a general rule and I'm excited that Fournier is coming on board so Marcus doesn't need to overdo it on the 3's.

Kemba started well and hit some big shots, but I thought he was bad for long stretches. Nesmith I'm happy to see out there, but played terribly. Those two are the only ones that didn't have a good night.

Grant and Pritchard were solid. Tacko was actually passable for the most part. Mo knocked down a 3 and then almost knocked himself out. The fact that Fournier/TT are going to come back and take all these minutes is really encouraging.

Timelord's time is now.

Just amazing what ball/body movement and pace can do to your offense.

I would like to credit Timelord for the pace part. It felt like we had at least five easy baskets because of his defensive stops. Thank you for getting rid of double-bigs, Danny. That took care of the space part. Ball and body movement in the half court was mostly the players just buying in, not settling, playing selfless, and executing.

We got timely stops on top of our awesome offense for 3.25 quarters.

Oh, and JT played like a BOSS! One of his most efficient games in green. None of those bull hail mary floaters in the lane.

I gave the cigar to Timelord, though Tatum is certainly worthy of it. Just very impressed by how Timelord has come along. When the 3-pointers are falling, it makes for an enjoyable game. The danger is in relying too much on that shot, as it can all go to hell if the team is shooting cold.
