He just needs to do it much more, he’s so big and strong, can just finish through guys.

Tatum is actually attacking the rim as a percentage of his shots less than any of his previous 3 seasons. Nearly 25% of his shots last year within 3 ft of the basket and this year, it is just 18.5%.

26.1% 67.8% 2018-19
24.8% 61,8% 2019-2020
18.5% 72.5% 2020-21

So many variable changing, it is tough to say how much Tatum has improved in that area vs statistical noise. NBA defenses worse this year and Tatum may be more selective driving while still taking advantage of fast break opportunities and open lanes to the basket via cuts.

Yeah he doesn’t go to the rim nearly enough. But he’s clearly improved as a finisher, learned how to use the glass to his advantage. It’s weird, the numbers are the same for Jaylen, he’s at .193, down from .269 last year.

I think they’ve both made a concerted effort recently to go to the rim more, so I expect both of their percentages to go up the rest of the way.

I think JB more legitimately can't drive, look to kick out to his open teammates, and hold onto the ball at the same time at this point. But he's still adding to his capabilities and I expect will get there. JB also was later to the high-level coaching and practice than JT, by far.

JT of course a pro player's son who has had pro-level coaching and focus for a sold decade already--and in his case it really seems more a matter of him stubbornly looking to get his and impress with the way he does. I guess we can hope that his reward of 53 points will at least lure him into driving to the cup more often.

That’s a lot of assuming going on. They both drove to the hoop way more last season, and both have done so about 6% less of the time than last season. But yeah one is being stubborn and the other isn’t.

How exactly is Jaylen still adding to his capabilities, and not Tatum? What a bizarre post.

Glen Taylor just said, "you bums can't even beat the **** Celtics? I'm selling the team to A-Rod."

Yeah and he’s spot on.

Our team is a **** laughing stock.

Our GM and coach are both slow, and 50% of our team is filled to the rim with scrubs
