60. Marcus Smart, Boston Celtics

Smart is often recognized as the Celtics’ heart and soul, a feisty, protean guard who shares the psychology of an outside linebacker. If the work is dirty, Smart won’t mind sticking his face in it. Now entering his prime with an outside shot that remains up and down from year to year, Smart’s physical tenacity (and relatively unnoticed playmaking chops) still endears him to teammates and coaches, even when he’s a bit too overzealous with the jumper. — MP

BTW, Kemba is #69 and Fournier is #91.

So, any of our other Guys would be in the Top 50, or not on the list?

Edit:
Looks like 50-31, is coming out tomorrow.
They're probably going to Spread it over 4 days.

Oh hey there's a side article about "snubs" who just missed the cut. Rob Williams and Al Horford are there.

I'm watching The Jump right now and Marc Spears said he talked to Jaylen last week and JB is looking great and said he feels great and will be ready for training camp and intends to have a huge season. Thought I'd pass that tidbit along.

Also, I didn't think ESPN could make The Jump any more annoying but they have Ramona Shelburne hosting now lol.

He's also underrated at driving to the hole and finishing at the rim, as we see in the first play of that video.

So help me get this straight, so I don't leave anyone out.

Under contract:

Jayson Tatum 6'9
Jaylen Brown 6'6
Marcus Smart 6'4
Robert Williams 6'8
Payten Pritchard 6'2
Arron Nesmith 6'6
Romeo Langford 6'4
Jabari Parker 6'8 (not fully guaranteed)
Grant Williams 6'6

New to the team, and under some sort of contract, this season are:

Josh Richardson 6'5
Dennis Schroder 6'1
Al Horford (not new, just back) 6'10
Ennis Kanter (also not new, just back) 6'11
Jaun Hernangomez 6'9
Bruno Fernando 6'9
Sam Hauser (2 -way) 6'8
Luke Kornet (not new, just back on Exhibit 10) 7'1
Juwan Morgan 6'8 (camp invite)

Then we have as potential camp invites:

Anthony Brown 6'7
Gary Clark 6'6
Brandon Goodwin 6'0

And we moved off of :
Kemba Walker 6'0
Carson Edwards 5'11
Tremount Warters 5'10
Tristan Thompson 6'9
Evan Fournier 6'8
Semi Ojeleye 6'6
Tacko Fall 7'6

Is that about right so far?

All things considered, I think our Celts are trending up in a VERY positive way. Looking at this through my my green colored hopeful glasses.

Seems pretty fair, Tatum is anywhere between 10-15, though I’d think most agree closer to 10. And Jaylen is anywhere from 25-30, so 27 makes sense.

I have JT around #9 but there are so many top tier players now it's hard to get mad about relatively minor differences of opinion. He'll be in the Top 10 on all these lists next year.

I said this on something called discord earlier, but there around 15 top 10 caliber players IMO. And I think Tatum will be a clear top 10 guy by the time the playoffs roll around.
