Steve Clifford and Magic agree to part ways.
Another potential candidate, although not at the top of my list.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

Who among the candidates do you think resembles Steven's coaching style? The person is probably gonna get the job coz maybe Brad want a HC who thinks like he thinks.

I don't remember why people hate J.kidd so much. I wasn't plugged into it at the time. I thought he did a good job with Giannis

Giannis shot mechanics changed under Kidd and lots of people are mad at Kidd for ruining his shot. Also the Bucks didn't win games under him. Also he had that embarrassing scene where he dumped a cup of water to get a free timeout. Also he's a wife beater.

If blazers are choosing between Kidd and Chauncey than doesn't that mean that they're decision is now public?

Billups is an assistant with the Clippers and has not interviewed with anyone yet. You can't just choose a coach and say he's your coach.

Let it be clear I don't want Kidd as the coach but didn't Bucks go from worst to decent under Kidd? Giannis became a superstar. And I liked the water thing lol.

I don't remember all the specifics but when we played (and beat) Milly in 2018 they had already fired Kidd and that Prunty dude was their coach. I believe that was the first year they'd been in the playoffs with Giannis and were a 7 or 8 seed. Kidd was long gone by the time Giannis hit superstar level.

Giannis would have become a star regardless of Kidd. But Kidd is responsible for destroying his development in shooting. You don't tell a 20 year old not to shoot because you want him to be a tall version of your playing career.
In Philly they are begging Simmons to shoot and he doesn't. Imagine him and Kidd...the perfect wedding.

Anyways, I'm nervous. Him turning down the blazers interest, is not good news.

I think if it's J-Kidd and it's worst-case scenario, the Celtics will announce it soon. Why wait if you know your guy

Fair enough about the shooting. Giannis mechanics got a lot worse. But credit where credit is due Giannis became an All-Star under him and they made the playoffs a couple of times after being bottom 3. Giannis was not some preordained Superstar. If Kidd is responsible for nuking his shot he has to be given credit for some of the other development.

And that is last thing I will ever say about Jason Kidd.

Chaunsey or Kara lawson

GIannis shot best from the FT line under Kidd. I think he was pivotal in his development, but yeah he wasn't overall an impressive coach and he beats his wife. I wonder how Giannis develops if he isn't allowed to be the main ballhandler.

Yes, if it's Kidd then please let us know soon, so I can start warming up to a new team before the draft.
