Around draft time, I get into this or that player who I like, and that included 2nd rd picks..

I get the "we don't need any more young players" BS. "Can't win with young players" etc..

So on that note, Chicago, which is battling for the best record in the East, has used a good mix of veterans and this one rookie 2nd rd pick, AYO DOSUNMU. That is 2nd rd, not first rd.

DOSUNMU is shooting 53% and 52% from FG and 3FG in his last 10 while shooting 54+ and 43% for the entire year at about 20 min per.

As I said during the draft, you can always find good talent *IF* you can scout well enough. Remember D Bane at 30 last year?? Brandon Boston this year at the end of RD2??

Not that anyone of those 3 were to be guaranteed to play well here with our team's philosophies on coaching/developing them, But I don't want to hear that young players CAN NOT make a major impact to winning ever again. With that mindset (like Boston's) It certainly won't happen.. and Now look at what season we have had and are having.

I wanted Ayo at pick 16.

Also wanted to try and make a deal for 1 of houstons 2 picks at early 20s for him.

What I don't understand is why does Jokic keep making the right, timely passes even when his teammates keep missing shots. :P

If there's anyone who should complain about lack of help, it would be Jokic.

Never at this level. Biggest on-off disparity is 11.4 net two seasons ago. He's at 8.1 this season.

Bengals (4 Seed) beat the Titans (1 Seed).
Makes the NFL Playoffs that much more interesting.

Suns, Heat, Dubs are maybe the 3 teams right now that have systems in place most conducive to turn garbage into more than serviceable pieces.

Kansas had a big comeback win the other day over Kansas State. Impressive comeback win. Kansas star player Ochai Agbaji was really good.

What I didn't realize until just now when I saw this tweet, is that Kansas coach Bill Self (been one of the best coaches in college basketball for a long time) lost his father the day before this game:

Got the chills watching this clip.

There's another clip in the thread where Self is talking about his dad, looks like he's trying to fight back tears.

Oh yea omg you’re a Tampa fan huh Ooof I’m sorry that was a horrid way to lose leaving poor Winfield all alone like that Bowles should be flying back to Tampa in coach after that.
