Ime has got to go!

I admit this is a reactionary thread….BUT,..not just as a reaction to another blown lead by the Cs in a Christmas game they should've won, but rather as a reaction to another of the MANY games this year that have been so frustrating to watch to the point of making me not want to watch them for a few weeks.

This team has a lot of talent that is performing as far less than the sum of its parts, and thats on Uchoka.

How many times does Brown have to turn the ball over as he drives the lane into a double team and tries a behind the back dribble and gets stripped?

How many times is Tatum allowed to go one on 2,3 or even 4, especially in the lane and get the ball taken away, and then he whines an bitches about it after?

How many 3 balls is Smart allowed to brick, over snd over and over again?

If these things happen once or twice, thats on the players. They have cumulatively happened hundreds if tines this year. Thats on Uchoka.

Where are successful ATO plays? Where are ANY offensive schemes or go to plays, instead of isolation after isolation after isolation. Thats all on Uchoka.

Brown and Tatum and smart got their coach. He checked all the boxes. He was black and he was a former player and their former coach… They said they would listen to him… Well I guess that’s all and good if he has anything important to say, but so far it doesn’t seem like he does.

How many horrific holes have they had to dig out of this year from their bad starts? How many blown leads and failures to close out games have they had this year?

Time for Uchoka to go.

I think that this survey should be postponed until the end of the Celtics season.

There have been a LOT of absences this year. Thru the First 34 Games:

Games when the top 3 wings were available (Tatum, Brown and Richardson) = 9 times, the Team was 4-5.

Games when the Top 3 Bigs were available (Rob Williams III, Al Horford, Grant Williams) = 17, the Team was 9-8.

Games when the 3 Primary Wings and the 3 Primary Bigs were available = 4, the Team was 1-3.

Additional Games missing 2 or More Primary Wings/Bigs = 11 games short-handed. Team was 4-7.

Difficult to gauge with the amount of short-handed games, plus the early season losses when healthy could be attributed to a coach still figuring his team out, plus a few bad outings by key players. I just think that it's too soon to be running this survey, although all the analysis and comments to date in threads are valid, I'd just hold off until we see where this team is at now that the guys are starting to get used to playing with one another, let's see what happens when everyone shows up again.

Me, I'd luv to see what they'd do with a Top flight PG who can lead a team, drill shots, break a defense down and defend before a new coach is brought in.

I could fire him and not bat an eye, however we are stuck with him for minimum two years.

according to your stats, we basically sucked in all situations so what does that say??

Too soon. Team blows, he's probably a serviceable coach.

If we are hiring Cassell, then i’m good with firing his ass asap. **** the excuses! He has been an assistant for almost a decade now.

Sometimes i am thinking we are the worst fan base in the world. lmao

He has been coaching this team for only 3 months. Yes sometimes he is giving some questionable desicions but he is a rookie coach and some problems that he is having right now come from Brad's coaching times. Iso Tatum, Iso Brown are not something can be fixed in 3 months. Give this guy a full year and give him a floor general, things will be looking much different

The Celtics 2021-2022 team construct is not been consistent as a team. Team chemistry has not been consistent players reads on executing plays. Player fitting in working to build good team chemistry and winning close ball games. There have been some good results Rob Williams has certainly played beyond expectations and Pritchard also. Offensive continuity has been up and down injuries and corvid have been factors. However the Celtics should have beaten Milwaukee and did not perform well in the last four minutes of the game> The Celtics played good basketball for 44 minutes. Can the coach fix this?

I'm just hoping we're not planning on sticking with Udoka for 7 years.

Fire the coach and the GM.

Both are terrible in their new roles.

LOL. This thread is picking up steam with another loss tonight.

We lost to a less talented Wolves team tonight. No surprise there.

Give Ime the varsity team and he will find a way to lose. Have him coach the JV team, he will lose.

Look TBH, if this were a less than .500 team, then I could understand.
But these are a quality players. -- It's NOT the players.

You cannot consistently play your Starters, 40 mins.
And also NOT playing the Bench & Deep Bench enough.

Let's just say I'm rooting for him to coach for another team. I have been since the first 5-7 games of the season. I saw what I needed to see. He doesn't even get the basics of coaching. Then again most bad coaches don't.

It's all making sense to me now.. Stevens said to himself.. "you guys think I am a bad coach, I will show you a bad coach" and went and hired Ime..

Stevens went on his revenge tour..
